Tip: Colombia Win to Nil
Units: 1/5

Colombia made a winning start to their 2019 Copa America campaign by beating Argentina and Los Cafeteros now have the easier task of beating Qatar to ensure they go through to the last eight as section winners.

We advised punters to back Carlos Queiroz’s team on the Asian Handicap against Argentina and will continue to side with the Colombians for this clash at the Estadio do Morumbi, with the team having genuine credentials when it comes to winning this tournament.

The starting XI are very strong, with Radamel Falcao continuing to lead the line in front of James Rodriguez, while he is flanked either side by Luis Muriel and Juan Cuadrado.

Mateus Uribe and Wilmar Barrios are in the engine room and we’re not expecting the Qatar forwards to get much change out of Davinson Sanchez and Yerry Mina who are a young central defensive partnership who were effective in snuffing out Lionel Messi and Sergio Aguero in their last game.

Qatar are much improved in recent years and the 2022 World Cup hosts came back from 2-0 down to draw 2-2 against Paraguay, with the Asian visitors having illustrated why they were recently capable of winning the Asian Cup.

It might be tricky for Felix Sanchez-Bas’ side to overcome Colombia and this clearly represents a step up in class, with the nation’s players exclusively operating in their domestic league.

Colombia are strong favourites and we’re going to side with Los Cafeteros to claim another victory without conceding. At a shade of odds-on, it looks reasonable value and we think they can get the job done with the minimum of fuss.
