Bournemouth v Burnley Premier League betting preview and tips
Bournemouth sit ten points clear of the relegation zone although it’s largely been an unsettling season in the Premier League this term, with Eddie Howe witnessing his team’s form take a nosedive from November onwards.
The Cherries had six top-flight wins by the end of October although they haven’t managed to equal that tally for the remainder of the season, with Brighton, West Ham and Chelsea the only teams beaten with the exception of Huddersfield (twice).
Fifteen defeats in twenty-three games means that we’re happy to oppose Bournemouth, even if they’re playing a Burnley side who have hit a downward spiral in recent weeks, losing their past four matches.
They had previously lost just one in ten games, although the Clarets have suffered consecutive defeats against Newcastle, Crystal Palace, Liverpool and Leicester, which means they are delicately sitting above the drop zone.
It’s hardly a surprise that the Lancashire side are scrapping against the drop considering that they have one of the more modest budgets in the Premier League although they are capable of pulling off victories as they recently demonstrated when defeating Tottenham.
We think that Burnley can get at least a draw from this encounter, with Sean Dyche’s team having thrashed Bournemouth 4-0 at Turf Moor earlier this season and you can bet that the manager has been studying that game for ideas about how to enjoy the same outcome.
Burnley nearly came away from Old Trafford with a victory at the end of January and there was also a 3-1 win away to Brighton that followed this, so we’re happy enough to take a chance on them in the Asian Handicap market.
The visitors usually find the net on the road and have avoided defeat in seven away matches, with a draw not a bad outcome for either side at this stage of the season.
