Crystal Palace v Arsenal Premier League betting preview and tips
Arsenal have been enjoying a big winning run this season, although it must be said that they haven’t been entirely convincing and perhaps this is where the Gunners hit the buffers in a London derby.
Indeed, it might sound strange but there’s not a huge amount of difference between these two sides, with the visitors simply boasting a better set of attacking players and that includes Alexandre Lacazette.
The Frenchman has been on fire in recent weeks, with Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang struggling to get game time although the Gabon striker is a lively operator who could get his chance in this clash.
Unai Emery must know that his side’s wonderful run will end at some stage and this will be a stern test against a Crystal Palace team who were unfortunate not to get the better of Everton at Goodison Park last week.
The Eagles missed a penalty in Merseyside before two late goals took the game away from them, although Wilfried Zaha got brought down for the spot kick and proved to be a difficult opponent for Seamus Coleman all game, with the winger likely to be tricky against a Gunners defence which doesn’t look convincing.
While Arsenal won 5-1 at Fulham, they shouldn’t expect the same kind of one-way traffic at Selhurst Park, with Roy Hodgson simply hoping for some good fortune considering that they have been better than their results suggest.
Scoring goals is clearly still an issue and we can’t bring ourselves to back the home side despite big odds, although a draw is certainly within their capabilities and we’ll back this clash to end all square at lumpy odds.
