Crystal Palace v Everton Premier League betting preview and tips
Crystal Palace just haven’t got going at Selhurst Park this season. The Eagles have the second-lowest number of home wins and it’s only their form on the road which means that the London side will remain in the Premier League this season.
Palace have only recorded four victories in front of their own supporters, with nine teams having left with a maximum haul and the chief problem for Roy Hodgson’s side has been scoring goals at Selhurst.
Fourteen is a very modest return, although we think that tally can be bolstered against an Everton side who have lost nine times on the road. The Toffees are very much a work in progress under Marco Silva and that could be seen recently when the Merseyside team lost at Craven Cottage.
Everton also recently stormed into a two-goal lead at Newcastle only to lose 3-2 and we think that this game could have an end-of-season feel where both sides find the net.
At the time of writing, the Toffees have won three of their previous four matches, with a series of different players getting themselves on the scoresheet, with Dominic Calvert-Lewin operating in attack for Everton.
It’s no secret that Palace are over-reliant on Wilfried Zaha when it comes to scoring and creating goals, with Luka Milivojevic often profiting from the penalty spot and the Serbian now has twelve goals in all competitions.
Since the start of the year, Palace have only failed to score once and that was at a new-look White Hart Lane where Tottenham were in a determined mood to enjoy the best possible start at their new home.
It’s hard to call the winner of this contest but both teams finding the net seems to be the way forward in what should be an entertaining contest.
