Huddersfield v Fulham Premier League betting preview and tips
The first thing to say is that Fulham have conceded twenty-eight goals in ten Premier League games this season, so it’s hard to have any confidence that the Cottagers can win at the John Smith’s Stadium on Monday.
For a number of reasons, the Cottagers are out of their depth in the top flight and Slavisa Jokanovic seems at a loss to arrest some poor early-season form which has seen the London side amass just five points.
Fulham’s solitary win of the season came against a Burnley team who were preoccupied with the Europa League at the time, with the visitors having taken just one point from five away games thus far.
The last time they took to the road saw Fulham beaten 4-2 at Cardiff despite taking the lead and it’s hard to see how Jokanovic is the man to turn things around at the club despite recently receiving the board’s vote of confidence.
Huddersfield’s home form is 0-1-4 and they are yet to find the net at the John Smith’s Stadium, so backing David Wagner’s team in this clash might see slightly barmy on first glance.
However, the Terriers were more of a match for Liverpool in their last home match and we think they can be tighter defensively than their opponents, with Town staying up last season thanks to solid performances.
Aaron Mooy offers a touch of class in the midfield and it’s interesting to note that Huddersfield had more shots on target at Watford despite a 3-0 defeat last weekend, with Town also edging the possession stats.
