Leicester v Brighton Betting Tips
Leicester City aren’t exactly a club in crisis although they have just parted company with Claude Puel, with the owners deciding to sack the Frenchman after Saturday’s 4-1 home reverse against Crystal Palace.
It wasn’t a huge surprise to see Puel leave and means that Mike Stowell and Adam Sadler will take temporary charge of the Foxes for Tuesday night’s clash against a Brighton side who aren’t certain of escaping relegation this season.
It appears that Puel was at loggerheads with certain players in the squad and that includes Jamie Vardy who is clearly close to the owners and will immediately be on the teamsheet for this clash.
Vardy will surely have a point to prove after being used sparingly by his former manager in recent games, while the team as a whole might show a reaction now that they have cast off the shackles.
While Leicester have only won four times at the King Power Stadium this season, they are a good set of players who recently played well against Manchester United and Spurs, while they previously drew 1-1 at Anfield.
Brighton on the other hand look flimsy away from home and they have lost nine of their thirteen matches on the road, with the Seagulls recently throwing away a two-goal lead at Fulham to lose 4-2.
They go into this game only three points above the drop zone and looking to keep things tight although they have conceded twenty-four goals on the road and we’re not sure they can keep a clean sheet here.
While Brighton are into the FA Cup quarter finals, a recent home reverse against Burnley illustrates that the team are out of sorts in the Premier League and we’re happy to take a punt on Leicester at the prices.
