There seems little reason to desert Leicester City at the moment, with the Foxes looking as though they’re going to finish the season strongly under Brendan Rodgers.

Rodgers is getting a tune out of players such as Jamie Vardy, James Maddison and Harvey Barnes, while Wes Morgan is proving to be a good replacement for the suspended Harry Maguire.

At the time of writing, Leicester have won their past three matches and it’s likely to be four after a visit to Huddersfield, with Rodgers hoping that he can bank seventh place in the Premier League table ahead of Wolves and Watford.

The past three matches at the King Power Stadium have resulted in home wins, with Newcastle usually adopting a defensive approach when it comes to these sort of road trips and the Magpies have only managed to win two matches on the road.

Although Rafael Benitez’s side have landed seven away draws, they have also been beaten seven times and we regard Leicester as among the best eight teams in the division, so we’re taking them at a backable price to claim three more points in this encounter.

The Magpies are practically safe from the drop thanks to Cardiff failing to get points on the board recently, with Newcastle seven points clear of danger at the time of writing and they have only scored twelve times on the road.

Therefore, some punters might be interested in siding with Leicester to win to nil in this clash rather than simply a home victory, although Brendan Rodgers’ attack-minded approach means we can’t rule out a potential consolation goal.

Indeed, Ayoze Perez and Salomon Rondon have been faring well in attack and perhaps this is a match where Benitez lets off the shackles and allows his team to play with freedom.
