Liverpool v West Ham Premier League betting preview and tips
Liverpool’s slick passing could see them ahead early against a new-look West Ham side with a new manager.
Liverpool landed fourth spot in the Premier League last season along with a place in the Champions League final where they were beaten by a Real Madrid side who have established a legacy as far as the European Cup is concerned.
Jurgen Klopp’s side are now second favourites to land the 2018/19 title and they do look equipped to challenge Manchester City for major domestic honours, with the German able to recruit some impressive personnel at Anfield this summer.
Fabinho was a surprise arrival from Monaco, with Naby Keita finally completing a deal from RB Leipzig and Xherdan Shaqiri is certainly not a daft signing considering how much quality he demonstrated at Stoke.
Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Adam Lallana will hope to stay fit and provide Klopp with more attacking options, with the big three of Salah, Firmino and Mane back after a mixed bag of World Cup exploits.
The future looks rosy for the Merseyside club, with West Ham United arriving at Anfield hoping to put up a fight and they are now managed by Manuel Pellegrino, with the Chilean back in England after a stint in China.
There have been several early arrivals, with Jack Wilshere and Andriy Yarmolenko the most notable signings, while Lukasz Fabianski could be the safe pair of hands that the club have been missing.
Pellegrino has won a Premier League title with Manchester City and he should improve the Hammers, although it might take time and this is a fiercesome match even if Liverpool might not be at completely full-strength.
