Man Utd v Man City Betting Tips

Odds: +187

We’re massively excited for Wednesday’s Manchester derby, with Manchester City only one defeat away from handing the Premier League title initiative to Liverpool.

On the flip side, Pep Guardiola’s side need to keep winning in order to become champions for the second season running, while a draw would mean they are well ahead of their rivals on the goal difference front.

It’s not in City’s make-up to simply play for a draw in any game and they will feel confident about becoming the second team to win at Old Trafford this term, with Tottenham having triumphed there in August.

The champions have a strong away record in the top flight this season with eleven wins on the board, while it should be noted that the Citizens have landed nine consecutive victories in the Premier League at the time of writing.

The one advantage from Manchester United’s perspective is that they are facing City after their opponents have played Tottenham three times including a previous clash against Spurs on Sunday in the Premier League.

The Red Devils have only lost just the one game at Old Trafford this term and they did manage to hold Liverpool to a goalless draw despite suffering three first-half injuries.

United will once again aim to thwart their opponents although the home crowd won’t allow them to sit on their haunches throughout the contest and it might be that Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s team can find the net at least once.

However, the form of Kevin de Bruyne has been particularly eye-catching in recent weeks and Raheem Sterling recently demonstrated at Selhurst Park that he’s now become a go-to match-winner for Manchester City.

We’re expecting Pep Guardiola’s side to celebrate a Premier League title victory which would be an enormous step towards retaining their crown, with a correct scoreline of 3-1 on the cards.
