Tottenham v Everton Betting Tips
Tottenham finish their Premier League season with a home clash against Everton and they might only need a point against the Toffees to be completely sure of a top four finish which will see Spurs back in the Champions League next term.
Mauricio Pochettino’s side have not been in good form recently, although Chelsea, Arsenal and Manchester United have also been shipping points which means that Tottenham are in the box seat to take their place at Europe’s top table again next term.
It should be borne in mind that this match at White Hart Lane takes place just a few days after a tough match in Amsterdam, with Spurs aiming to overcome a one goal deficit in their Champions League semi-final encounter and this match is sure to have taken its toll.
Everton should therefore be a good deal fresher, with the Toffees finishing the season fairly strongly and they’ll be encouraged by not facing Harry Kane who is assumed not to be available for the remainder of the season unless his team make the Champions League final.
Marco Silva’s side can probably lay claim to be the fifth or sixth best team in England, with the Toffees badly unlucky not to win at Crystal Palace recently and their defence is now looking watertight after struggling to shut out the opposition earlier in the campaign.
Michael Keane and Kurt Zouma are the preferred central defensive pairing, with Seamus Coleman and Lucas Digne operating as full-backs and there’s plenty of midfield solidity thanks to Idrissa Gueye and Morgan Schneiderlin in the engine room.
Let’s face it, Spurs are going to be bushed when it comes to this match and that fatigue should see Everton potentially land a point or even three. We can get with the visitors at +0.5 (Everton win or draw) on the Asian Handicap market.
