Watford v Everton Betting Tips
Marco Silva has had a vote of confidence from the Everton major shareholder recently, with Farhad Moshiri declaring that the Portuguese was still the man to lead the Toffees forward despite a fairly mediocre season.
Silva doesn’t have long after Wednesday’s clash with Manchester City to prepare his team for the visit to Vicarage Road, a place he knows well after taking charge of the Watford team for several months last season before a parting of ways.
It’s been a difficult few weeks for the Merseyside club and it’s hard to be confident that they’ll get anything against a team who are a point better off in the Premier League table and likely to be highly motivated by the prospect of getting one over their former manager.
Watford were the better team in the reverse fixture when the game finished in a 2-2 scoreline, with Lucas Digne salvaging a point at the death when all looked lost and it’s worth noting that Everton have already lost six times on the road and they were recently beaten at Millwall in the FA Cup.
There have been just four wins in the previous fifteen games for the visitors, with Watford having won three of their past six matches and this includes wins over Woking, Palace and Newcastle.
They then took the lead at Wembley only to lose 2-1 before a brave keeping performance from Ben Foster ensured they left Brighton with a point.
Javi Gracia actually looks like the Hertfordshire club finally have a long-term solution when it comes to a manager and the aim will be to finish as high as seventh in the table this season and illustrate that the Hornets are one of the stronger teams in the division.
