West Ham’s home form of 5-3-5 doesn’t inspire a great deal of confidence when it comes to backing Manuel Pellegrini’s side at the London Stadium, although we’re happy to take them at a shade of odds-on to overcome Fulham in this Friday evening encounter.

We were really taken by the Hammers when they squared up against Liverpool, with the London side coming from a goal behind to land a 1-1 draw and they created enough chances to get over the line and land all three points against arguably the strongest team in the division.

West Ham have served up some stinking performances this term, although Felipe Anderson has been a revelation and Robert Snodgrass produces plenty of quality from wide positions, with Declan Rice also impressing for a team who will look to finish as high up the table as possible.

With a bet like this, it’s more a case of opposing a Fulham side who have taken an extraordinary two points from their thirteen away games this season. The Cottagers just haven’t been able to arrest away form and they’re conceding well over two goals per road match on average.

Claudio Ranieri has practically conceded that any survival hopes depend on how Fulham fare in their remaining home matches, with the Hammers claiming a 2-0 victory at Craven Cottage in December and we should expect them to record another maximum haul.

Ranieri wasn’t able to strengthen his squad too much during January and Crystal Palace ran out comfortable 2-0 winners against these opponents last term, so it could be a long afternoon for Sergio Rico between the sticks.

Denis Odoi and Tim Ream were adequate in the Championship but have been brutally exposed at a higher level and it doesn’t really matter that you have a battering ram by the name of Aleksandar Mitrovic when your defence is so poor.
