West Ham v Leicester Premier League betting preview and tips
Leicester City supporters got their wish when Claude Puel was deposed and his successor hasn’t been looking back in recent weeks.
Brendan Rodgers is a familiar face in the Premier League and he’s seen his team win five of their previous six encounters at the time of writing. That has included four consecutive wins over Fulham, Burnley, Bournemouth and Huddersfield.
The quality of the opponents has clearly been modest and a trip to the London Stadium represents a tougher assignment on paper, although the Foxes are now gunning for seventh spot and they look capable of beating West Ham.
Rodgers arrived at the King Power Stadium with a reputation for free-flowing attacking football and the northern Irishman is clearly getting a tune out of Jamie Vardy who has been banging in the goals.
Eight goals in as many games means that the visitors will have the most lethal finisher on the pitch, while James Maddison is producing some sparkling performances and there’s just a really good feel about the Leicester team.
As for West Ham, they have won eight times on home soil this season but they have also been beaten six times in front of their own supporters and it wouldn’t be a surprise if Manuel Pellegrini leaves after just one season in charge of a club who seem perpetually troubled.
The Hammers’ recent form has been shabby and they were somewhat fortunate to beat Huddersfield 4-3 at home before getting turned over by Everton. Marko Arnautovic looks disinterested and Leicester will be confident of taming the attacking players representing the home side.
The Foxes have won seven times on the road and confidence is incredibly high due to the recent spate of wins, with England pair Harry Maguire and Ben Chilwell enjoying an excellent season from a defensive point-of-view.
