Marko Arnautovic is likely to be back for Saturday’s lunchtime encounter against Manchester United, with the Austrian having missed last weekend’s clash against Chelsea although his team did admirably without him.

Indeed, Andriy Yarmolenko missed a glorious headed opportunity to potentially land the points, with the Ukrainian likely to continue as part of a three-man attack which saw him score twice recently at Everton.

West Ham appear to have steadied the ship after four straight defeats and Manuel Pellegrini has remained calm through proceedings, with the Chilean now looking for his team to take the chances that come their way against Manchester United.

It’s fair to say that this represents a slightly easier assignment for the Hammers and they appear to have found a settled team which includes midfielder Declan Rice operating as a pivotal midfielder.

They will also be buoyed by landing that clean sheet against a Chelsea side who had previously been full of goals, with Eden Hazard kept at bay and there is nobody in the United team who instils that type of fear.

Paul Pogba is coming nicely to the boil in the Red Devils team, while Marcus Rashford will be eligible to play in this clash and could play off Romelu Lukaku.

First and foremost, Mourinho will be keen for his team to be compact and a point wouldn’t be a bad outcome, with United having to deal with lots of problems thrown their way by a Wolves team who came to Old Trafford and left with a point.

United have also been turned over by Brighton and Tottenham this season, while their 2-1 win at Watford was slightly fortunate and they had to weather a second half storm which could have seen the match end all square.
