A tough one to call in this clash, with Wolverhampton Wanderers initially taking to the Premier League like a duck to water although scoring goals have continually been an issue and so it has proved in recent matches.

Wolves were strong favourites to overcome Watford a fortnight ago before being undone by two quick goals, while they then battled it out at the AMEX Stadium before being found out by a Brighton side who effectively got the goal and sat it out after that.

Nuno won’t have been too dismayed by the performance against the Seagulls considering they deserved at least a draw and Wolves have generally been sound on home soil this term, including a 1-1 scoreline against Manchester City which was richly deserved.

The Wolves system has been effective to date and the three centre-backs will be confident of keeping Harry Kane & Co at bay, with Christian Eriksen and Dele Alli potentially kept back in this clash considering that PSV lie in wait next week.

Spurs have won five of their six away games to date, although Watford managed to smite them earlier in the season and there was a large element of fortune when they won at the London Stadium against West Ham where the defence had to weather the storm.

Tottenham will come into this match after also playing Monday’s clash against Manchester City and also an EFL Cup match against West Ham as the action come thick and fast.

Tiredness has been a regular factor throughout the season given how many squad members were actively involved in the World Cup and the form of Hugo Lloris has been questionable which bodes well for the home side here.
