Wales v Slovakia Euro 2020 betting preview and tips
It’s a pretty good time to be manager of Wales, with lots of talented players currently available for selection and it’s always nice to have someone as high calibre as Gareth Bale in the ranks.
While Bale is clearly unhappy at Real Madrid right now, his goals to game ratio in a red shirt is phenomenal, while he has a high-profile partner in crime thanks to Aaron Ramsey’s future move to Juventus.
This Wales team have achieved great things together and Giggs can call upon some experienced defenders in the form of Ashley Williams, Chris Gunter, Ben Davies and Neil Taylor, while the midfield includes the exciting pair of Harry Wilson and David Brooks.
It’s probably a talented a Wales squad as we’ve seen before and we’re expecting the home side to enjoy a victory against a Slovakia team who seem to be vulnerable away from their own national stadium.
The Slovakians missed out on the 2018 World Cup and were relegated from Nations League B after losing three of their four games against Ukraine and Czech Republic.
This included 1-0 defeats away to both of those teams, with the team continuing to rely on captain Marek Hamsik although the 31-year-old is now playing domestic football in China rather than Italy.
There isn’t a huge talent pool available to manager Pavel Hapal who hasn’t been in charge for a particularly long time, with the visitors likely to be happy to take a point from this encounter.
However, providing that Bale is in good form, then we might see Wales enjoy a fairly comfortable win as they bid to be among the top two teams in the group, with Croatia expected to finish top of the pile in Group E.
