All players who don’t get picked when drafting your league are added to the waiver wire system, where it’s possible to add them to your team through two main options - FAAB (Free Agent Acquisition Budget), or Priority Ranking.

If your league uses a priority ranking waiver system, you’ll have to wait your turn before you get to select a player on the waiver list. But FAAB requires managers to make sealed bids for players, which is fairer. Everyone in the league receives the same budget, with no restrictions on how it’s used. Bids can be continuous throughout the week, or non-continuous, in which case they can only be processed once each week - usually on a Tuesday, although all leagues have their own specific rules.
The manager who made the highest bid gets the player. You don’t get to see any of the other bids, which makes for a fair system, in which everyone has an equal chance of claiming additional players.
