Moomoo has taken over the prediction market scene by storm recently, quickly becoming one of the most talked-about sites online. That’s why I’ve taken to the site myself to do an in-depth Moomoo review.
Want to learn how trading works here? I’ve got your back. I’ll also highlight all the other key features, including promotions, customer support, user security, and so much more. That’s right, everything you will want to know as a new user will be revealed, right here. I’ll also tell you all about the available markets and contracts.
Moomoo works the same as any other prediction market site, so you can expect a similar experience to what you’ll find in a OG prediction markets review, for instance. At Moomoo, you can forecast future outcomes, where the likely contract types are in binary Yes or No forms. Each market is framed like a question, such as, “Who will be the next US President?” You are then given a list of potential candidates, each offering a Yes and No contract.
All contract prices range from $0.01 to $0.99, and if you predict correctly, your contract will settle at $1. If you choose wrong, then your contract becomes worthless and settles at $0. Contract pricing for Moomoo markets are based on the trading volume and represent an implied probability, so they are not fixed. For example, if a Yes contract is priced at $0.30, this indicates that the market believes there’s a rough chance of 30% of the outcome happening. The more traders who believe a specific event will occur will push the price up, so that the opposite outcome’s price falls.
Let’s say you trade an event contract on the following market: “2026 World Cup Winner”. You may find the following contracts and prices:
| Potential Winner | Chance | Yes Contract | No Contract |
|---|---|---|---|
| England | 23% | $0.23 | $0.77 |
| Spain | 57% | $0.57 | $0.43 |
In this case, let’s say you decide to buy a ‘Yes’ contract for Spin to win the 2026 World Cup. You could pay $0.57 for the contract and then have the option to either wait for the final result or sell your contract. Selling your contract is a great option if you spot a chance to pocket an early profit or to reduce your losses, if the market takes a sudden change.
If you hold your contract and your prediction is correct, you would then get a $1 settlement. In this situation, you would get a profit of $0.43. It’s worth noting that you aren’t restricted to buying just one contract per market. For example, you could decide to buy 50 event contracts. Of course, you should always ensure that your purchases are aligned with your budget, so never spend more than you can afford to lose.
I found an incredible list of markets in my Moomoo review. Not only is there a long list of available markets, but there’s also a dedicated ‘Trending’ tab, where you will find the most popular events that people are trading on, right now. This tab is updated every 24 hours, so you get the hottest events. To help you learn more about what’s on offer, here’s a list of topics I found and what events you could come across:
| Category | Types of Events |
|---|---|
| Sports | Match winners, tournament winners, and esports matchups |
| Elections | US elections, international elections, Senate nominees, and future elections |
| Economics | Fed decisions, rate cuts, price of oil, and inflation |
| Crypto | Crypto price, including short-term and long-term |
| Politics | Trump-only markets, Nobel Peace Prize winner, and state Governor winners |
| Entertainment | Rotten Tomatoes ratings, movie charts, Oscar winners, and game release dates |
| Mentions | Predict who’s going to be mentioned during specific speeches |
| Financials | Product launches, CEO-specific markets, and IPOs |
| Companies | KPIs and advertising |
| Science & Technology | Best AI models, SpaceX launches in a month, and nuclear reactor licenses |
| Climate & Weather | Predict the daily temperature, climate change, and droughts |
| Commodities | The price of oil, crude oil, gas, and metals |
My Moomoo review picked up on a very relaxed approach to trading fees. In fact, it’s one of the best sites for low fees that I have seen in a while and is competitive against what I found during my Coinbase review. As of right now, Moomoo has a 0% commission policy and applies zero contract fees for equity options trading. Plus, there’s a fixed fee of $0.50 per contract for index options trading, which is pretty good. Moomoo has clearly been designed with traders in mind, offering lower fees that create more opportunities.
One of my favorite features at Moomoo is the risk-free trading tool that simulates what it’s like to buy and sell event contracts without any of the cost or risk. This is called Paper Trading, where you practice trading with virtual credits. To help you learn the ropes even further, you can even join Paper Trading competitions, too. So, if you want to go into a slightly more pressurized environment and enjoy a spot of competition, these are ideal. Plus, it allows you to test your knowledge and strategies against other traders, in a similar fashion to trading for real.
In addition to this, there are over 2,000 educational resources to assist you. So, if you want to brush up on your knowledge a little further, Moomoo is the ideal prediction market site for you. With 2,000+ resources available, it’s too much to work through in a few days, but it’s great to see that there is enough to keep you going long-term, offering a wide range of learning opportunities.
I also found a Paper Trading calculator that stimulates the potential value. You can use this calculator to input the figures, which will calculate how it might work in the real world. So, whether you are a total beginner or looking to test some new strategies out, Paper Trading is the ideal solution.
Moomoo has a pretty solid promotions page, offering a dedicated welcome bonus for new traders. To help get you started, there’s a base rate and boosted rate available through the Cash Sweep program. Combined, they give you an 8.1% APY, which is divided into the two following offers:
In addition to the above, you can also claim a stock bonus, which will increase depending on the size of your initial deposit. I didn’t need a Moomoo promo code, which made the whole process a lot easier. The more you deposit into your account, the bigger your bonus will grow:
| Initial Deposit | Stock Bonus |
|---|---|
| $500+ | $30 |
| $2,000+ | $100 |
| $10,000+ | $200 |
| $50,000+ | $400 |
| $100,000+ | $1,000 |
Now, I’ll start by saying that Moomoo does have a standard website in addition to a mobile app. Unlike other prediction market sites, Moomoo has been designed to have different features and purposes. In short, the website provides in-depth analysis, while the app is for quick trading while you are on the go. For this, I think they both complement each other perfectly. While the app might not be able to do everything, it certainly doesn’t fall short. Instead, it’s designed differently, after careful consideration of how traders will use it.
The desktop website offers exclusive tools that allow you to dive into advanced features, including custom graphs that are tailored to your trading. On the mobile app, you can buy and sell event contracts quickly, which is designed for speed. For this reason, the app is perfect for traders who already know what outcomes or events they want to trade on. With the app available on iOS and Android, no one is left behind.
As for navigation, both the website and app have been executed perfectly. You can browse a list of categories, all of which have sub-categories, so you can narrow down your search. To keep you updated, AI is powering the insights and news, bringing you real-time updates on market data, giving you quick summaries of breaking news as it drops.
Sadly, this is where I think Moomoo needs to make a few improvements. After unveiling all the details on deposits and withdrawals in my Moomoo review, it’s clear to see that the operator is focusing on offering secure payment methods, but it’s still rather limited. Don’t get me wrong, I can’t say anything bad about the quality of the payment methods, but it would be great to see a few more options, including debit/credit cards and e-wallets. Right now, none of these methods are accepted, so it would be great to see them in the future.
For now, deposits can only be processed via ACH bank transfer, and you must have a US bank account, otherwise your deposit will be rejected. Before you can make a deposit for the first time, you will need to authenticate your account by uploading a copy of your government-issued ID. Once this is done, deposits are wide open. Just keep in mind that deposits aren’t instant here. Deposits via ACH bank transfer can take between 1 and 4 business days, which isn’t ideal. It requires planning on your part, because you can’t deposit just before the market opens. For example, depositing on Monday might not land until Friday.
While deposits are relatively fee-free, you will be charged a $5 reversal fee if you reverse your payment. All reversals after then will incur a $10 fee.
As for withdrawals, you can choose between ACH and Wire transfer, which can take between 3 and 5 business days to process. The only catch here is that you are charged a minimum fee of $20, depending on where your bank is based. If you are sending your withdrawal to US banks, it’ll incur a $20 fee. Any foreign banks will have a $25 fee applied. With this in mind, it’s worth allowing your settlements to accumulate, otherwise you will lose a large portion of your $1 settlements per contract.
Customer support is one of Moomoo’s many strengths, and I don’t say that lightly. From the get-go, I felt that Moomoo had everything covered, and I was never left with unanswered questions. Moomoo has done a stellar job at making traders feel welcomed and supported from the moment they step onto the site. Whether you prefer individual support or popping a quick email, Moomoo has it all.
The live chat is available 24/7, so the team never completely goes offline. This means that whenever you are awake and trading, someone is always going to be available to offer support when you need it. Whether you have a quick question or a complex issue, the live chat team will be on hand to assist you. When I tested the live chat, I was connected with an agent within around 30 seconds or so.
There’s also email support and a dedicated telephone line, depending on your preference. There are also social media channels, including X, Facebook, and Instagram, which provide you with updates, announcements, and the team is available there to answer questions.
I even found an in-depth FAQ page that has thought of everything. It’s so in-depth that it offers practically everything traders will need to know from start to finish. Honestly? It left me with all of my questions answered, so I had to make up questions while I was testing the live chat; that’s how great it is. I found topics like account management, deposits, withdrawals, and more. Nothing I can say here will give it justice, so don’t take my word for it.
Right off the bat, I was pleased with the level of security and safety tools at Moomoo. It’s clear to see that Moomoo has been designed with your safety in mind at all costs. For instance, while the payment methods aren’t ‘wow’, they are two of the most secure payment methods in the US, offering bank-level security and encryption.
I also found advanced features that keep you in total control. Not only can you see advice and resources on bankroll management, but there is also a string of tools that make sure you aren’t overspending or pushing your limits:
As Moomoo is owned by Moomoo Financial Inc., you are protected up to the value of $500,000. This is because Moomoo Financial Inc. is a member of the SIPC, so you can trade with total peace of mind, knowing that your back is covered. To help keep your data locked down, you can apply multi-authentication on your account, which means that only you can log in by using an OTC.
In addition to multi-authentication, there’s also SSL encryption software used. This works by scrambling your data as it’s being entered, covering your personal and banking information. This prevents malicious third parties from accessing your sensitive data, which reduces the chances of your information being leaked or hacked.
Moomoo has recently launched its prediction market section of the site, which has seen many new users joining the site to test the waters - myself included. As soon as I heard that Moomoo was rolling out trading markets, I couldn’t wait to get stuck into this Moomoo review. Every corner I turned, I was loving what I was seeing. That said, Moomoo isn’t without any pitfalls.
With that in mind, let’s get the one downfall out of the way - payment methods. As of right now, Moomoo only accepts ACH and Wire transfers, which isn’t really good enough. Deposits take up to 5 business days, which completely removes the option of trading on last-minute markets, unless you already have funds sitting in your account. I would love to see this improved and a few additional payment methods added, even if it were just a couple of debit/credit cards and e-wallets, as this alone would completely shake things up.
Now, onto the good bits. Moomoo has a wide array of categories to choose from, which is great to see. Sports, crypto, financials, politics, and more. Everything has been thought of, and all the categories had an excellent selection of events and markets. What really stood out to me was the Paper Trading feature, where users can buy and sell contracts risk-free using virtual money. If you are starting or want to test some strategies, this is perfect.
Like what you have seen? If you want to test Moomoo yourself and see if it’s the right prediction market site for you, all you need to do is tap the promotional banners on this page. You can then find out first-hand how Moomoo works and discover all the fun features I’ve highlighted on this page.
Yes, it is. You can claim a few different promotions, including a sign-up bonus, that can be used to buy more event contracts. The offers are a bit different from what I found when testing the OG promo code, but they are pretty competitive.
Yes. You can install the app on your iOS or Android device by heading to your respective app store. Alternatively, you can download the app by tapping the on-page links and tapping the app buttons on the website. Remember, the app doesn’t offer the same tools and features, but it does allow you to buy and sell contracts.
Moomoo has recently joined the US prediction market scene, rolling out prediction markets under Moomoo Financial Inc. Moomoo is a registered FCM, which is regulated by the CFTC (Commodity Futures Trading Commission).
Moomoo offers a diverse mixture of categories and events, including sports matches/tournaments, crypto prices, election results, daily temperatures, and so much more. Practically everything you can imagine will be available at Moomoo, to a certain extent.
No, Moomoo doesn’t add any fees to your deposits. However, it’s worth checking with your bank, as some banks will add on fees when processing payments to certain websites or brands.
