Formerly a brokerage platform and now a prediction market thanks to its partnership with Kalshi, this Webull review takes you to all you need to know about the site. So far, this one’s a standout platform to begin with.

Let’s get into the details. I’ll discuss the available markets, payments, fees, bonuses, and all the features that would prove to be necessary for you to enjoy making predictions on the site. I’ll also explain what you can expect from practical trading tools, user experience, and how you can make your first trade confidently.

What is Webull and how does it work?

Webull is an online brokerage that expanded into regulated prediction markets through a partnership with Kalshi. Alongside stocks, ETFs, options, futures, and cryptocurrencies, users can trade event contracts in relation to real-world outcomes. Rather than investing in a company or digital asset, you predict whether a specific event will take place before a set deadline.

How Yes/No event contracts work

Every Webull prediction market uses a simple binary structure with two possible positions: Yes or No. Buying a Yes contract means you believe the stated event will happen before settlement. Buying a No contract means you believe it will not.

Each contract includes an expiry date and detailed settlement rules. For example, a 2026 World Cup Winner market asks whether a specific team will win the tournament. If you buy France – Yes and France wins, your contract settles at $1. If France does not win, the contract settles at $0. Markets also identify the official sources used to verify results, ensuring no outcomes are disputed.

How Webull prediction markets are priced

Contract prices range from $0.01 to $0.99, with each price reflecting the market’s current view of an event’s likelihood. A contract trading at $0.39 suggests traders believe there is roughly a 39% chance of that outcome occurring. Prices change continuously as buyers and sellers react to new information.

Because prices reflect market consensus, they rise when confidence in an outcome increases and fall when traders believe otherwise. News, economic data, injuries, earnings announcements, or political developments can all move prices before settlement.

Can you buy and sell contracts before settlement?

Yes. You do not have to wait until an event finishes to exit your position. If another trader is willing to buy your contract, you can sell it before settlement and lock in a profit or limit a loss. For example, you might purchase a Yes contract for $0.35. If positive news pushes its price to $0.60, you can sell before the event concludes and realize the difference. Likewise, if confidence falls and the price drops, you can exit early rather than hold until settlement.

Early trading depends on market liquidity, which refers to how easily contracts can be bought or sold. You’ll also notice bid and ask prices. The bid is the highest price buyers currently offer, while the ask is the lowest price sellers are willing to accept. Markets with more traders and money result in narrower bid-ask spreads, which generally makes entering and exiting positions more efficient. Wider spreads can increase trading costs.

Prediction markets vs traditional Webull investing

Just as my Interactive Brokers prediction markets review found for that prediction site, Webull began as a traditional investing platform. It offered access to stocks, ETFs, options, futures, cryptocurrencies, retirement accounts, and cash management tools. And just like Interactive Brokers, its prediction markets build on that ecosystem. The new product, however, serves a different purpose and follows different settlement rules. The table below summarizes some of the main differences.

Welcome bonus only available for brokerage account

While Webull doesn’t offer a dedicated sign-up bonus for prediction markets, new users can still claim promotions available on its broader trading platform. These offers may change over time, so it’s worth checking the latest terms before registering.

🎉 Current welcome offer

At the time of writing, eligible new users can receive $20 in fractional shares and one month of Webull Premium after making a qualifying deposit of at least $500. A Webull promo code isn’t required, but you must opt in to the promotion and satisfy the eligibility requirements before claiming your reward.

❓ Can you use the bonus for prediction markets?

The welcome offer applies to Webull’s brokerage account and not the prediction markets. However, once your bonus shares have settled and been sold, you can use the proceeds as settled cash to trade regulated event contracts. This gives you extra trading capital, even though the promotion isn’t directly tied to prediction markets.

Webull prediction markets are legal in the US through Webull Futures LLC, which offers regulated event contracts under the oversight of the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC). Prediction markets launched in 2025 through a partnership with Kalshi, another CFTC-regulated exchange.

Traders must be 18 years or older, complete identity verification, and provide a valid Social Security Number (SSN) or Individual Taxpayer Identification Number (ITIN). Availability depends on state regulations, so prediction markets aren’t accessible everywhere.

How do payments work on Webull?

Webull payments are straightforward, as you only use supported bank-based funding methods. The lack of eWallet support, however, makes for slower transaction times.

💰 How to fund your account

You can fund your Webull account using ACH transfers, debit cards, or wire transfers. Debit card deposits are usually the fastest, arriving in around 30 minutes. Domestic wire transfers typically take one business day, while ACH transfers generally take one to five business days. After your funds settle, you can use them to purchase stocks, ETFs, or regulated event contracts.

💵 Withdrawals

Withdrawals are available through the same banking methods. ACH withdrawals are free and generally arrive within two to three business days. Domestic wire transfers usually take one to two business days but incur a $25 fee, while international wires cost $45 and can take up to five business days. Debit card withdrawals are also supported, with a 1.75% processing fee.

⚠️ Limits and important things to know

Webull doesn’t require a minimum account balance to trade prediction markets. Instead, you only need enough settled funds, meaning money that has fully cleared and is available for trading, to cover the contract price and any applicable fees. Processing times vary by payment method, so depositing well before an event begins can help prevent delays. Identity verification is also required before you can fully access Webull’s trading features and payment services.

Types of events you can predict on Webull

Depending on current events, you’ll find contracts covering major sporting tournaments, financial markets, elections, entertainment, technology, and economic releases. Webull organizes these contracts into dedicated categories, each containing dozens of individual markets and subcategories.

Sports cover football, golf, basketball, tennis, and more

Sports attract some of Webull’s highest trading activity thanks to a constant schedule of live competitions. The platform currently features markets for football, basketball, baseball, tennis, golf, hockey, MMA, motorsports, esports, and other major sports.

Within those sports, you’ll find contracts for competitions, such as the 2026 World Cup, The Open Championship, the Tour de France, and numerous domestic and international leagues. Markets range from tournament winners and championship outcomes to player achievements and season-long milestones. This variety gives traders opportunities throughout the sporting calendar.

Crypto covers Bitcoin, Ethereum, Solana, XRP, and more

Cryptocurrency is another one of Webull’s busiest categories. Markets cover major coins including Bitcoin (BTC), Ethereum (ETH), Solana (SOL), XRP, Dogecoin (DOGE), and BNB. Contracts cover multiple time frames and market events. Examples include whether Bitcoin reaches a specific price by a certain date and Ethereum’s performance during the trading day. You’ll also find cryptocurrency adoption milestones, regulatory developments, ETF-related news, and other industry events that could influence digital asset prices.

Politics covers elections, Congress, and government policy

Political markets focus primarily on US politics. The current contracts at the time I put together this Webull review include Presidential Elections, Congress, the Executive Branch, the Cabinet, Governors, the Supreme Court, and broader US Politics developments.

Depending on the political calendar, traders can predict election winners, party nominees, government appointments, legislative outcomes, executive actions, approval ratings, and other significant policy decisions. As you can imagine, activity typically increases around debates, election cycles, and major political announcements.

Economics covers inflation, interest rates, GDP, and employment

Economic contracts revolve around scheduled data releases and central bank decisions. Popular markets include inflation, Federal Reserve interest rates, GDP growth, employment figures, and other key economic indicators. Because these events have published release dates, trading activity often builds before official announcements.

Culture covers movies, music, awards, and entertainment

Culture brings together contracts based on entertainment and major public events. Webull has subcategories such as Awards, Grammys, Movies, Music Streams, Rotten Tomatoes, Television, and other entertainment topics. Examples include predicting award winners, streaming milestones, film review scores, box office performance, and other headline-making events across the entertainment industry.

Trading on Webull step by step

Opening your first prediction market position on Webull is easy and definitely quick to do. Here’s what you need to do.

Account setup and funding

Before trading event contracts, you’ll need to open and verify a Webull brokerage account.

  1. Sign up using your email address or mobile number.

  2. Complete identity verification by providing your personal details and a valid SSN or ITIN.

  3. Upload any required identification documents to satisfy Know Your Customer (KYC) requirements.

  4. You can enable two-factor authentication to add another layer of account security.

  5. Link your bank account or debit card, then deposit funds via ACH, wire transfer, or an eligible debit card.

  6. Wait for your funds to settle before placing your first prediction market trade.

Finding a market

Prediction markets are grouped into categories such as Sports, Crypto, Politics, Economics, Science & Tech, and Culture, making it easy to browse current opportunities. You can also check popular subcategories, including football, Bitcoin, inflation, artificial intelligence, or awards.

Selecting a contract opens a dedicated market page with necessary information, including the event timeline, settlement rules, official resolution source, recent price movements, trading volume, and order book. Reviewing these details helps you understand how the market works before committing any funds.

Placing a trade

Once you’ve chosen a market, decide whether you believe the event will take place or not by selecting either the Yes or No contract. Enter the number of contracts you want to purchase, review the current market price, estimated cost, and applicable transaction fees.

Before submitting your order, Webull displays an order summary showing your position, purchase price, potential payout at settlement, and total amount due. After confirming the trade, your position appears in your portfolio. You can then monitor price movements, close the trade before settlement if market conditions change favorably, or hold it until the event concludes.

Plenty of features in the Webull app

If you plan to trade prediction markets regularly, the Webull app is worth downloading. It’s available for iOS, Android, Windows, macOS, and Linux devices and lets you monitor markets and manage positions wherever you are. Just the same in my Moomoo review, the app’s features include real-time price updates, interactive charts, watchlists, customizable alerts, and fast order execution.

You can browse prediction market categories, review settlement rules, and track your open positions from a single dashboard. Users who are used to a simpler interface can also choose Webull Lite, which offers a streamlined trading experience but still retains the platform’s core investing and prediction market functions.

How you win, lose, and settle accounts on Webull

Your profit or loss on Webull prediction markets depends on the price you pay, when you exit, and whether your prediction is ultimately correct.

How your profits are calculated

Winning contracts settle at $1, while losing contracts settle at $0. For example, if you buy a Yes contract for $0.35 that later settles successfully and returns $1, your gross profit is $0.65 per contract before fees. Your maximum gain depends on your entry price, while your maximum loss is limited to the amount you paid if the contract settles against you.

Should you close early or hold till settlement?

You don't have to wait for settlement to realize a profit or reduce a loss. If market sentiment changes and your contract increases in value, you can sell it before the event concludes. Some traders actively buy and sell contracts throughout an event, while others hold until settlement. Price volatility, market liquidity, and personal strategies often influence which approach makes the most sense.

How Webull fees work

Webull keeps event contract fees relatively straightforward, and costs apply when you place trades. At the time of writing, event contracts such as the 2026 World Cup Winner and The Open Championship Winner incur a $0.01 commission and a $0.01 exchange fee per contract. This is pretty close to, but lower than, what I found while putting together my Gemini review. These transaction fees are separate from the contract price itself.

While the fees are small, they represent a larger percentage of lower-value trades than larger positions. These costs are worth considering if you trade frequently. That’s because every position must clear the bid/ask spread, then generate enough profit to cover the purchase price and applicable fees before becoming profitable.

Support via phone, email, and in-app messaging

Webull offers support through phone, email, and an in-app messaging system. Phone support is available Monday to Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM ET, making it the fastest option for urgent account or trading issues. Email inquiries are typically answered within 24 hours, while the in-app messaging feature lets you submit support tickets directly from your account.

Although Webull doesn't offer live chat, its support channels cover most user needs. The platform also provides a comprehensive Help Center with answers to common questions about accounts, payments, investing, and prediction markets.

Brokerage-level trading tools and plenty of prediction markets at Webull

Webull added regulated prediction markets to the brokerage that traders were already familiar with, so you now have access to a wider range of products. My Webull review covered how contracts are priced, settled, and traded, along with the markets, fees, payments, tools, and features that help you make better trades.

Prediction markets here work differently from many competitors in that they are set up as another tradable asset rather than a standalone product. The result is a polished trading experience backed by detailed market pages, advanced charting, watchlists, and a growing catalog of sports, crypto, politics, economics, science, and culture markets.
