Betano Review for September 2024: My Complete Overview + Claim Your Bonus

Looking for a good all round sportsbook and casino can be tricky, but while putting together my Betano review, I found one that fits the bill. And it all starts with bonus bets or bonus spins when you sign up.

I’ll go into more detail about how you claim your preferred bonus, but if you’re wanting to find out straight off whether Betano is legit, the answer is yes. I’ll also get into the other reasons why I think Betano is a good fit for most, including its massive selection of betting markets and casino games.

A simple qualifying wager unlocks bonus bets or spins

Your experience is destined to start with a bonus, so I’ll start my Betano review here too. You’ll have a choice of two bonuses depending on whether you’re here as a sports bettor or a casino player, so I’ll take you through both. I’ve gone into these in almost forensic detail in my full bonus review, including details of any Betano promo codes you’ll need, but I’ll tell you how it works here as well.

First up I’m in the UK, so I’ve covered that offer – depending on where you are, you see something slightly different, or maybe no bonus at all. That’s why it’s essential to read the T&Cs before going any further, which is what I did first and I suggest you do the same.

Sports betting bonus

If you’re into sports betting, the offer I found is simple: place a £10 qualifying bet to get a £10 bonus bet. The qualifier will need to be at odds of 2.0 or more, and placed within three days of registering at Betano. Your bonus bet needs to be placed at odds of at least 2.0 as well, which is evens or better. Yes, it could be bigger, but I still rate it highly.

Casino bonus

It’s a similar story if you want to opt for the casino offer, with £10 in qualifying wagers getting you £30 in bonus spins. Again, you’ll have three days to meet the qualifying criteria, and then another 30 days to use your bonus spins, which will need a 40x playthrough before you can withdraw any winnings. There’s some small print to read here, as you are only allowed to play certain slot games as part of the T&Cs. Even with the extra reading this is still straightforward and there’s no pressure on you to meet a short deadline. It works for all deposit methods and the minimum deposit of £10 is a good fit for the majority of budgets.

An impressively well-stocked but easy to navigate site

With your bonus claimed, you’ll want to take a look at what’s available, and the simple answer is – a lot. I’ll admit to being a bit worried that Betano might feel crowded and confusing, but I was wrong. As with just about every website you’ve got your major options down the left and across the top, so even if you’ve not seen a sportsbook or casino site before, you’ll have a decent idea of what’s going on.

There’s not much in the way of flashing graphics (which pleases me no end) and I was impressed with the work the developers have put into making it easy to access your account details, and see your balance. Adding to this balance is a simple process of following on screen prompts, with no guesswork or lagging here, or in fact, at any point in my Betano review.

This is best illustrated by the betting process:

  • Select your sport from the left hand menu
  • Choose your event and market in the centre panel
  • Making a selection opens up your betting slip over on the right, ready for you to enter your stake and confirm.

As an experienced bettor, I loved how simple this was, and anybody with less experience would have few problems here, so it’s another plus for Betano.

Use Betano on the go with a top rated app

Both the Android and iOS apps for Betano are highly rated in their relative app stores, and I’ve found no reason to disagree. I downloaded the Android version safely and quickly in just a couple of minutes and was impressed with just how smoothly the app works. Functionality-wise, you can do everything on the Betano app you can on the site, which I see as essential as you are just as likely to use your phone as anything else to wager or play.

The screen looks a little different with your options at the bottom and selections rolling in from the side, but I found no difficulty in using it at all. Your options for signing in or even signing up sit at the top, and overall I found the app every bit as intuitive and easy to use as the main website.

Quick and easy options for deposit and withdrawals

As you might have seen in my Stake review, having plenty of payment options can be a real plus, but there is also something to be said for keeping it simple as well. Being in the UK, I had the choice between debit card and Apple Pay, which might seem a bit restrictive, and personally I would have liked to see some eWallet options as well.

The minimum deposit is £5 (remember you need to deposit £10 for the bonus though) and the maximum is £1000-£30,000 depending on which payment method you are using and should be available to use instantly. The withdrawal methods are the same, with selected Visa users able to opt for FastFunds withdrawals which take just an eye-popping 40 minutes after approval, as opposed to the 1-3 working days it could take otherwise.

Multiple options for getting the answers you need at Betano

While putting together my Betano review I didn’t encounter any difficulties, but if I had, there was plenty here to help me. There’s a help centre access from the left hand menu, with an FAQ that covers most issues, but if you want fast, personal answers then there’s always the live chat option.

I have to say, I wasn’t too impressed with the chatbot that greeted me, but if you persist, you will get through to an operator within minutes should you need to. There’s also email help if you have a more detailed problem, so you should never be left wondering what is going on. One final note is that I couldn’t see any indication of phone support, but I wasn’t surprised as I don’t really make phone calls these days, and I’m not sure too many others do, either.

Is Betano legit?

The big question, but one with an easy answer – yes. I’m checking out the UK version for this Betano review, and it’s licensed in Gibraltar. There are also different versions for other countries like Mexico and Canada, each fully licensed and legit for the bettors and players there.

This is because they are part of BV Gaming, a large privately-owned company that has the backing and resources to ensure your account is safe. They boast “fully encrypted data transfer and multiple redundant servers to ensure that all customer funds and personal details are stringently protected” and while I was here I saw no red flags. The registration process filters out those who are under age or located in a restricted country, and while all these measures can never ensure a perfect experience, Betano have certainly done enough to get the thumbs up from me.

What’s in it for regular Betano visitors

As I found when carrying out my BC Game review, if you want to stay with a sportsbook or casino long term, there needs to be additional promotions and ideally a VIP program. While I’ve liked pretty much everything I’ve seen so far in my Betano review, this is one area where they’ve come up a little bit short.

Unfortunately, there’s no VIP or loyalty program here, and no long-standing additional offers. That’s not to say there aren’t plenty of ad-hoc offers available, like the lucky dip for Euro 2024 or the £20K raffle with a ticket awarded for every £50 you wager. In essence, it’s a case of keeping on top of what is around if you don’t want to miss out.

Betano Sports Betting

Betting markets - plenty to choose from at Betano

The first thing that struck me during my Betano sportsbook review was the large number of sports and markets available to bettors. OK, in this day and age that’s not a surprise, but I still wasn’t expecting to see Futsal, hurling and handball sitting alongside soccer, football and basketball. The range of markets runs deep as well, with plenty of prop bets and player performance markets too. There’s also eSports coverage, for CoD Dota 2 and Valorant, which is a rare treat. As I mention in the main body of this Betano review, it’s all easy to find, and the betting process is simple.

Odds - look out for boosted parlays

With so many sports and betting markets available, finding competitive odds is vital, and the spot checks I carried out showed that Betano has no issues competing with other UK sportsbooks on that front. What I also found was that there are boosted accas/parlays regularly available, which you can add to your betting slip with a single click.

Live betting & streaming – smooth betting in-play

This is where the smooth betting process comes into its own. The range of live betting available is huge, with every event morphing into live markets when it starts. I found no delays when placing a bet, aided by the live stats which cover each game. If I wanted streaming, this was only available for horse racing, so for other events you’ll have to rely on the TV or the local sports bar, which might not be all bad news.

Limits - check the maximum payout before betting

How much you bet is left up to you, but there is a limit to how much you can win. This is £500,000 per day across all sports, so you can work backwards from there when deciding your stake – although betting responsibly is always paramount here.

Conclusion - Lots to offer from Betano betting

While I wouldn’t say it was the best thing I saw during my Betano review, this is still a very good sportsbook. Like the whole Betano operation, it is solid, competent and does everything you’d want it to, with perhaps the exception of live streaming, but who’s ever found a sportsbook that covers everything you want? For that reason, I can recommend it to all bettors, as it’s easy to use, the bonus gives you a decent start and you can find the bets you want at decent odds.

Betano Casino

Software - a roster packed with quality providers

Over the years I’ve spent writing about casinos, I’ve always found it’s as much about quality as it is quantity with games – after all, what’s the point of having 2,000 games if they’re not all that? That’s not the case here, and I’d even say they’ve probably got the balance about right. I won’t list all the suppliers as the list is too long, but if I told you Pragmatic Play and Evolution are involved, you’ll get the idea. Regardless of who makes the titles, as I mentioned earlier in this Betano review, they are easy to find, and offer great gameplay with no lagging or loading issues.

Games - no shortage of slots or table games

You’ve got plenty of slots available, and just like I found during my Roobet review, there are thousands to choose from. I’m not going waste your time reeling them all off, instead I’ll mention a few that impressed me, like the jackpot titles Eye of Horus or Wolf run, or If you like Megaways, Great Rhino and Temple Tumble are the standouts. While there aren’t as many table games, the roster is far from understocked, and you’ve got the regular blackjack, roulette and baccarat titles in abundance, as well as keno, craps and video poker. Luckily, it’s not a case of too much choice, and you’ll find it easy to pick a favorite.

Live casino - top quality live dealer titles

The live casino is equally well stocked, again with quality titles and is probably the highlight of this Betano casino review. I liked the selection which had the usual roulette and blackjack options sitting alongside gameshow and instant wins. With a great balance like this, all types of players, especially those who might have popped over from the sportsbook out of curiosity can find something to play that is not just regular casino fare.

Limits - easy to check limits

Another great feature was the fact the limits are displayed for most games on the tiles, or will become apparent when you fire them up. These vary massively according to what you are playing, with some having a ceiling of £100, others of £2,500. Again this is good news as it caters for just about everyone, especially with low starting stakes of around £0.20. Of course, you can limit yourself if you want, but I saw no evidence of players being limited for winning during this Beatano review.

Conclusion - a casino that ticks every box

Throughout my Betano review, the recurring theme has been that while there is nothing really outstanding, Betano has pretty much everything you need and would work for just about everyone. That’s illustrated perfectly by the casino – everything is here – jackpot and Megaways slots, plenty of table games, and a fully loaded live casino all with top titles. When you add in the easy to claim bonus at the start, you could do worse than take a closer look at what Betano has to offer, especially if they come up with a few more ad-hoc promos.

Betano review FAQS

👉 Is Betano legit?

While compiling my latest Betano review, I checked them out thoroughly, and saw they were fully licensed and legit. Always check out the T&Cs though, to make sure you can legally play where you are located, as Betano is not globally available.

🙋 Does Betano have a welcome bonus

There’s a bonus for both sports and casino at Betano, but that will vary depending on where you live. As a UK resident, I got the choice of bonus bets after a qualifying bet, or free spins on selected casino slots. You can find out what else is on offer by reading my in-depth Betano review.

📲 Does Betano have an app

As you are more likely to be playing on your phone as anywhere else, during my Betano review I checked out the app availability. I found apps for Android and iOS, both with great user reviews, and easily downloadable from the Betano site. If you want to head there right now, then simply click on the link on the banners of this page.

A great all-round experience at Betano

The lack of a loyalty program is just one small blemish on what’s otherwise a very good showing. You’re well catered for in terms of the number of sports betting markets or casino games, and there’s a separate welcome offer available for each of them too.

You can find what you want easily on desktop or mobile. Payments and support are pretty decent too, and while there’s no standout feature that’s especially brilliant, I couldn’t find a whole lot wrong. What you’ve got here then, is a great all-rounder which should work well for pretty much any of you – and who wouldn’t want to take a closer look based on that?
