BetMGM is truly a ma-hoo-sive betting brand – but you guys knew that already, right? What my BetMGM review today’s gonna explore, is whether the site’s worthy of its almighty rep here in the US of A.
Since 2018, BetMGM’s been offering Americans in several states superb sportsbook odds and some real sweet casino games. But for me, it’s the brand’s focus on user-experience and high-quality software that push it head-and-shoulders above competitors. State-level availability aside, it’s two thumbs up from me on the brand’s bonuses – but what about the all-round BetMGM user experience? Well, as far as I’m concerned, BetMGM is legit one of the best-put-together betting platforms in the US, hands down. And I’ll tell you why.
The BetMGM homepage is clear, simple and easy to navigate.
Instead of rolling with an ad-cluttered page plagued by too many menus, BetMGM takes things back to basics by offering what is essentially a one-page dashboard.
When you first pay the site a visit, you’ll be prompted to select your state, followed by “Sports” or “Casino”. You’ll be dropped straight in the center of the action thereafter – and will pretty much never have to leave the main page unless you’re making a deposit, cashing-out or claiming a bonus.
Sports-wise, you’ll find yourself face-to-face with the day’s most popular odds and markets, topped by two or three promo and odds-boost banners. More carefully-categorized markets are on your left, and bet slips on your right, and that’s about it.
Of course, my BetMGM casino review found a similarly minimalist approach on their casino sub-site – which adds some nifty data-generated “Features” and “Trending Now” categories highlighting what’s hot at the time of play. The gold-on-black color palette adds an air of class and I never felt more than one-click away from everything I needed.
BetMGM has pulled a blinder by taking that very same minimalist dash and somehow squish-squashing it into app shape.
You can download BetMGM’s app via either Apple’s App Store or Google Play, and I’m confident you won’t run into any ease-of-use issues once your download pings and you start playing.
The layout’s identical to the website, albeit subbing the full names of sports/game genres for smaller icons, and bets can be put down with just a couple of clicks via a collapsible betting slip on your right. Intuitive, am I right?
Whether you’re lining-up a $10 minimum deposit to sink your teeth into one of the juicy bonuses mentioned earlier, or that ship’s long sailed and your about to cash-out, making payments at BetMGM is a breeze.
Unlike at other sites, deposits and withdrawal methods are fairly consistent here, as are minimum limits and fees (deposits/withdrawals must exceed $10, and there are no BetMGM fees for most payment methods).
VISA and MasterCard both make the deposits and withdrawals cut in most US states, as do popular e-wallets Venmo and PayPal. It’s also possible to fire-up your Apple Play app if you’re making a deposit/withdrawal via BetMGM’s iOS app.
Of course, you can always fall back on old-school bank transfers, too, though I wouldn’t recommend ‘em. Why? Well, you might be hit with a $5 deposit conversion fee or wind-up waiting several days on withdrawals.
When it comes to maximum limits, most payment options will let you top-up your account with anywhere up to $8,000 at a time, while withdrawal limits range from just $3,000 to a much more chill $50,000 depending on your cash-out method.
Drum roll, please… My BetMGM review found that all deposits here are instant. 99% of the time, at least.
As for withdrawals, waiting time variations can be pretty wild – VISA cash-outs take one business day or less, for example, while online banking… yeah, just don’t even bother with online banking.
That old saying “the customer’s always right” doesn’t always hold strong in iGaming. Though I’m happy to say that, in my experiences at least, BetMGM always go above and beyond for bettors.
BetMGM offer a wide variety of customer support options.
Much as I found in my last BetRivers.net review, BetMGM offers a dedicated “Help & Customer Care” page, and it ain’t half easy to find, either. Like, literally – there’s a huge link to it at the top of the dashboard page (indicated by a headset icon if you’re using the app).
The link will take you to a kinda cluttered FAQs page, which I was happy to see is topped by a “Contact Us” banner” because as we’ve established already, BetMGM totally understands what bettors want.
You can hit-up live chat 24/7, and there’s an email option, too. I of course tried out both and found live chat was by far fastest – just expect a bit of back-and-forth with a chatbot before you get connected, yeah? Shame there’s no US telephone hotline, but otherwise, I felt support here was… pretty great.

Everyone’s heard of BetMGM before, right? Much like I found in my Caesars review, we’re of course looking at a betting powerhouse here that has its roots in glitzy resort hotels and casinos located in IRL gaming hotspots like Las Vegas. Did you guys know BetMGM also runs Borgata casino resorts, too? No? Well, now you do.
Of course, an operator this big ain’t gonna shirk its licensing responsibilities. BetMGM proudly exclaims in the footer of its webpage that its “approved for real money gaming” by several state-level regulators, including the Arizona Department of Gaming (ADG) the Michigan Gaming Control board, among others.
As I said earlier-on in my BetMGM review, though, there’s a bit of an anomaly availability-wise, because while BetMGM’s sportsbook is available in 23 different US states, you can only currently play at casino games here from MI, NJ, PA and WV.
As you’d expect from an all-powerful iGaming platform that’s been in the biz since 2018, BetMGM takes serious steps to protect your data. To cite a few acronyms which may or may not mean something to you, they offer SSL encryption, RNG (i.e., randomized) slots games, and 2FA to ward-off unscrupulous login attempts.
Unsurprisingly, BetMGM competes with the big guns real good when it comes to existing customer rewards, too.
Just as the Bet365 review I put out last week found that that brand offers a US-centric VIP program, there’s a similar offering at BetMGM. It’s called “BetMGM Rewards” – and here’s what you should know about it.
The way it all works is simple. It’s a bit like Boy Scouting points, basically – you can collect BetMGM Rewards Points for each sport or casino bet placed on the platform, and climb up the VIP rankings each time you hit a certain amount. Though obviously, you won’t get any Merit Badges to pin on your uniform here; just level-up bonuses, fast-tracked customer support options and the odd promo code or two on your registration anniversary.
One of my favorite parts of the program is that new sign-ups automatically get bottom-level “Sapphire” status. Though you’ll need a whopping 200,000 points to hit the second-from-top “Platinum” tier. As for the top spot – that’s invitation-only.
Naturally, my BetMGM review found you don’t have to spend your life chasing loyalty points to bag existing customer bonuses here. Sports fans can unlock odds-boosts on, say, big NHL or soccer games via the brand’s “Promotions” page, while any casino lovers among you can currently participate in “$10k Weekend Leaderboard” tournaments, or claim “Arcade Power-Up” bonuses by betting $25 or more on selected games. Not bad, eh?
BetMGM might have its roots in in-person casino resorts, but the brand’s sportsbook still pulls out all the stops. There are more than 24 sports at your fingertips here, from must-have markets like MLB, NHL and soccer to special odds boosts dedicated to the NBA, or even the PGA Tour.
If you’re into NCAA props or collegiate sports tournaments, though, please take note now that these kinds of bets aren’t currently available in AZ or CO.
You can go totally wild building up loooong bet slips (located in the far right) one-click-at-a-time here, and things almost never get too messy thanks to BetMGM’s commitment to no-nonsense functionality.
My BetMGM review found that the brand’s odds across NHL, NBA and even smaller markets like swimming and table tennis, compete nicely with the big guns here – though this is in part due to BetMGM’s penchant for odds-boost promos.
The best odds are usually up-for-grabs on same-day bets – just look-out for “Odds Boost Tokens” on the day. The “Easy Parlay” page often serves-up favorable odds on multi-bets and combos, too. Everything’s formatted American-style, but can be switched-up in a jiffy via the settings menu.
Opportunities for live betting are ample here – though you will need to click away from that awesome main dashboard and over to the “Live” page to find them.
BetMGM is legit something of an innovator in this regard, having originally been the first provider to introduce live betting odds to the American iGaming market in 2015. Though whether they’re still innovating today is… questionable, as I found that live streams can only be watched on a limited range of sports. The odds are consistently great, though, and of course functionality is, just as when placing regular bets, second-to-none – you can stream, bet, edit and re-bet as much as you like all on one page.
Limits of course vary depending on what exactly you’re betting on, and when – though with the relatively high deposit limits I mentioned earlier, I never really felt unfairly or overly limited here, and TrustPilot and Reddit users largely seem to agree.
Your preferred sport of choice doesn’t make a shred of difference at BetMGM – whatever it is, you’re likely to find it here, and with decent odds, too. Having said that, you’ll definitely have a better time if you can bag an Odds Boost Token or stream your favorite matches and events in-real-time.
How’s BetMGM stack-up on the casino software front, then? Well, as you’d expect from an iGaming platform as beautifully-put-together as this one, the gaminng software up-for-grabs is all top-of-the-rung stuff.
So, what software providers did my BetMGM review unearth? Well, there’s Microgaming, NetEnt, IGT, BTG, Light & Wonder, and then some.
As you and I both know, big-name software doesn’t always translate into fast loading times, but here I certainly stumbled across an exception to this rule. Games lit up like fire on all devices I tested, every time.
With the sheer range of software houses represented, it ain’t hard to find games that match-up with your tastes. BetMGM offers slots, jackpots, tables and the full works – with over 500 game options in total.
There’s a slight bias toward slots, with Fireball Inferno and Big Juan frequently pushed to the top of the “Featured Games” category, but tables aren’t at all under-represented. If jackpots and Megaways are your jam, there’s plenty of super-high-volatility fare from NextGen gaming here. And for those of you looking for something a bit weird, BetMGM is legit awesome for more offbeat stuff, too – the “Hollywood Hits” category has games themed on anything from Jumanji to Ghostbusters.
Wildly, a few TrustPilot warriors have warned of prohibitively high wagering requirements on bonuses here, which I have to disagree with. The up to $1,000 deposit match that’s up-for-grabs in the US right now comes with well below average rollover terms of just 15x, so I can only assume the latest bonuses have been improved in light of the negative comments.
All your live casino offerings here come from either Evolution Gaming, or BetMGM themselves – with BetMGM Roulette and Baccarat of course fronted by the brand’s very own trained dealers, which certainly ain’t a bad thing.
BetMGM is legit actually really good for live gaming – there are 17 game options in total, and the mix is well-balanced to suit players of different experience levels. This applies even when it comes to limits.
As is pretty much always the case with online casinos, bet limits vary drastically from game to game – though I never encountered anything overly prohibitive here. Faster-paced tables like Lightning Roulette are ideal for high-rollers, as are jackpot titles like Super Cash Drop Deluxe.
BetMGM’s casino bundles together Vegas-style slots, tables and live games from some of the hottest software houses in town, and I highly doubt you guys will find anything here. If you’re into jackpots and megaways, it’s basically heaven.
BetMGM offers its sportsbook to Grand Canyon State bettors, but not its casino games.
Really, it depends what you’re looking for. I had a ton of fun with Hypernova Megaways, thanks to its fast pace and competitive RTP, but table game fans should probably check out BetMGM Blackjack Pro instead.
FIs the Pope a Catholic? BetMGM’s one of the biggest names in iGaming, and they hold licenses with several state-level US regulators – just be sure to double-check they’re licensed in your state before you bet.
As sure as eggs is eggs, BetMGM’s got some great new and existing customer bonuses up-for-grabs. It also comes with an almighty brand reputation which certainly won’t leave any of you doubting the site’s security or prowess. BetMGM is legit, and that’s all there is to it.
But these things are basically a given with any big betting brand. What really wowed me about BetMGM was just how well-put-together this sports-meets-casino platform really is.
Whether you’re playing from Samsung’s latest Android tablet with all the bells and whistles, or that trusty old Macbook you bought back in ’09, you simply won’t find another sportsbook that’s as easy-to-use as BetMGM.
The brand’s all-on-one-page approach makes betting here a breeze, while their cleverly-sourced casino games, which seem to hail from all the hottest software houses around, are rip-roaringly good fun and super well-varied, genre-wise.
In all, this is an epic platform all-round – just remember to double-check for state-level differences in things like bonus T&Cs and game availability before you play.
