ClubGG Casino Review 2024: My Detailed Review + Claim Your Bonus

Published: 2 weeks ago

If you’re after details of a social poker site, read my ClubGG review. I’ll explain about Play Chips and Live Dollars, with winnings of the latter being redeemable for real prizes on the site according to their rules.

With unlimited Play Chips to power your social poker play, the site also provides extensive guidance and support. I also cover how the payments work if you decide to purchase an optional premium membership, and go through features such as the available apps and usability factors. Everything worth knowing can be found in this article.

Would you be surprised at the lack of a bonus to write about in this ClubGG review?

It’s true, as you’ll be able to confirm if you check out the site for yourself. I was able to go through the straightforward signup procedure to join as a free member, and at no point was there any sort of bonus to claim. I want to be clear here though - this is a social poker site and there is a lot more information for me to share with you, so don’t let the lack of an offer put you off at this early stage. There is a refer-a-friend program, along with other potential offers such as tournament tickets for premium membership holders.

It’s rare to come up against a social or sweepstakes site with nothing to offer as a bonus for newcomers. However, I’ve extensively covered this topic for you in the ClubGG promo code review, which talks in more depth about the lack of offer and details other chances to pick up some promotional info there. Meanwhile, let’s press on with this ClubGG review.

The usability factor: Is this an easy site to use and appreciate?

I believe so, and I think that applies no matter which app you decide to access ClubGG with. There is more to read on apps in the next portion of this ClubGG review, but they’ve clearly put a lot of work into developing a format that is smooth and easy to access. The tables look superb, with enough information to help you settle into a game, without offering too much to deal with when you’re considering your poker hand.

Having reviewed a few other poker-based sites in the past, this social poker variant looks by far the most polished of all those I’ve seen. Obviously, there are differences to the layout and format if you’re more familiar with social and sweepstakes casinos offering nothing beyond some video poker rather than dedicated social poker apps like this one. Many aspects are the same, such as the ability to see how many Live Dollars you have if you’ve got access to them as part of your premium membership package. I’d begin as a free member, just to find your feet and get a feel for what’s happening and where to find information. Then if you do decide to upgrade, you’ll already feel settled there.

There’s also a calendar you can check up on to keep abreast of the tournament action on the site. As for the games themselves, you can see the total pot available, along with whether any participants have called or folded their hand. If they’ve raised it, you’ll see by how much. If you’ve got experience of social poker or the real thing, you should be able to settle in quite quickly.

You’ve got plenty of apps to choose from, as confirmed by my ClubGG review

There have been times while writing reviews such as the Jackpota review, for example, when I’ve gone on a hunt to find out whether there are any mobile apps available for download. However, I was met with the opposite scenario for this review, as the main page on the site confirmed the presence of plenty of apps to choose from.

I say plenty because there was a download available for Windows 10 if you’re keen to stick with a larger computer screen or laptop. However, they also displayed links to visit the Google Play store for Android users, and the App Store if you’re on an Apple device. They rounded off the collection by adding an .apk file download for Android as an alternative. I don’t think I’ve ever written a review that’s had that many options to write about for mobile downloads, so this ClubGG review is certainly an outlier in this department.

It was nice to see the Windows 10 download for computer users, and of course, you’ll be able to see the latest device requirements for Android and iOS devices in the respective stores. The app graphics are impressive though, with an at-a-glance look at the other players at the table, and straightforward controls to use once you’re inside a game. I’d recommend starting with free play, as this will help you get a better sense of what’s going on. It will help you find your way around if you’re new to the downloaded software you’ve chosen to use.

ClubGG review details on the topic of payments

If you’ve read the Punt review, you’ll know that payments don’t work the same at social and sweepstakes sites as they do at normal casinos and poker sites. So, this is a vital topic for me to cover. If you are going to use the social poker element of the site, you never need to worry about purchasing anything. There are no deposits to make and nothing to withdraw, and no purchases to think about either. You can choose to purchase a premium membership in either Standard or Platinum options, each of which has a separate monthly fee to think about. There is an Alternative Method of Entry that allows you to send a mail-in request to get a month’s free premium membership. You can do this every month to avoid paying charges.

If you do decide to purchase a membership for the app, you can do so via your Apple or Android device. This means you can select whichever payment method you have already associated with your device. The site also welcomes credit cards and PayPal among other options, which could work well if you decide to use the computer-based download for Windows 10 instead. If you play using Live Dollars and win more, you can redeem your L$ winnings via PayPal, your bank account, Tether, or even for an Amazon gift card if you’re inside the app. Thus there are a few options to consider whether you’re purchasing membership or redeeming a prize.

Where do they rank in the customer support stakes?

My ClubGG review continues here by covering the customer support topic - one of the most important parts of any social or sweepstakes site. I believe it is even more important at ClubGG because it focuses on social poker and the chance to enter tournaments, with their Live Dollars available to play with to try and win some to redeem.

There are a few useful links at the top of the landing page, including some covering membership options and tournaments. These work well as introductory pages, although I would prefer to see a little more detailed info there. Not to worry, though, because the site has more to share with you. You know about their app availability already, and I was able to confirm those details from the homepage for my ClubGG review. Further down that page, I noted the terms of service. I know those words often sound incredibly dull, but having read through them while reviewing the site, I can confirm they are packed with a lot of essential info you’ll be glad to know about before you join. That’s where you’ll find full details of how to claim your Alternative Method of Entry (AMoE) - the free way to get a month of premium membership there.

You might also spot an FAQ link, which opens another page showcasing their help center. There are various sections at the top of the page to start you off, and once you choose something to read about, you’ll see a list of options to choose on the left if you’re on a computer. Either way, you can use their search box to enter a search word or term to look up. Admittedly, some of the pages have sparse information, while a few I found were blank. On the whole, though, it’s an essential resource to help you settle into some social poker play, and something good to add to this ClubGG review.

Can I reveal any notable license or security information to add to this ClubGG review?

Here’s where I can confirm that the site works according to social and sweepstakes rules. So, don’t worry if you’re a stickler for checking license info near the bottom of a site and you don’t find anything for ClubGG. That’s normal because it doesn’t require a standard casino license as you might be used to seeing.

The site is run by NSUS Group Inc., and they are clear about the site format, whereby all tournament tickets have no real value. While traditional poker terms are used for clarity, these do not mean players can win and withdraw funds, as the site doesn’t work this way. They also confirm that you must live in an accepted US state or jurisdiction to use the site, and that’s something you can check via the terms of use (along with reading the details elsewhere in this ClubGG review).

Should you expect to spot a VIP program in action?

My research suggests there’s no dedicated VIP program to look forward to, although the paid membership plans do provide more perks than the free membership version of the site does, as you might expect. There’s no need to purchase either the Standard or Platinum membership plans if you do not wish to, but players do receive a range of features in both of these options.

Stage One tournament access comes once daily with the Standard membership, while it is unlimited with Platinum membership. Tiered loyalty rewards come into play if you choose the Platinum membership, too. The Platinum option also provides the best access to playing with Live Dollars, abbreviated to L$, which you can play with in the hopes of winning some. The Live Dollar winnings are then redeemable for real prizes on the site by following the rules for doing so.

You might recall I mentioned an Alternative Method of Entry earlier in this ClubGG review. This method shows up at all sweepstakes casinos too, as you might have read in the Scrooge Casino review here. You can access the equivalent of a paid membership by using this method, which is extensively detailed within their terms of use - read point 9d there to get all the info you require to follow this method.

My ClubGG review reaches the games topic

This is arguably one of the most important topics of all, as you may have a favorite poker game you want to see there. I spotted Pot Limit Omaha along with No Limit Hold ‘Em, so that covers two of the most popular games around for this social poker site. However, there is another aspect to gameplay that I want to mention, and this involves clubs. You can join one or more clubs at ClubGG if you wish - I guess that’s why Club features so prominently in the name. You can even create your own club, which is good to know if you have a few friends in real life or on social media who might also sign up to play social poker there.

How do the coin types stack up?

If you’ve visited a few social and sweepstakes sites before, you’ll know there is a different type of coin associated with each type of play. At ClubGG, you can find Play Chips to help you with the social poker games. While researching the features on the site, I was able to confirm that there is no limit to the Play Chips you can use. They can be distributed within club games, so you’ll never run out. I guess that’s why there is no welcome offer, as you don’t really need one.

The other virtual currency to watch out for is the Live Dollar, also shown as L$. This is equivalent to a Sweeps Coin, which you might have come across at social and sweepstakes casinos. You’ll need to either purchase a premium membership to access and play using these, or use the Alternative Method of Entry to get a mail-in registration for one month at a time. If you play using Live Dollars and win a game or tournament, you will receive L$ in winnings. You can redeem those for a real prize if you have enough of them.

Is ClubGG legit?

This is the big question, and I can confirm there is a positive answer. Despite the lack of a welcome bonus, the site clearly provides unlimited Play Chips for social poker games as part of a club. I’d definitely suggest joining for free first, as you can get a much better idea of the inner workings of ClubGG. It’s a top quality option for poker fans, offering two tiers of optional premium memberships to purchase, plus a mail-in option you can use for free. It can’t get much better than that.

ClubGG review FAQs

As the name suggests, these are a type of play currency with no actual value. They cannot be redeemed for anything and are used solely to play the social poker games at ClubGG.

If you’re reading about the site for the first time, then yes, you can learn plenty of details and get a sense of what to expect if you read a few detailed reviews before you sign up.

Yes, it is run by NSUS Group Inc., and is clearly a social and sweepstakes site with clear rules on how it works.

Get to grips with some social poker at ClubGG

There’s a lot to take in at this social poker site, as I hope my ClubGG review has indicated. However, if you already have a good sense of poker and how it works, you can enjoy the social poker opportunities there for free. With an Alternative Method of Entry to get a mail-in registration, you can then participate in all kinds of tournaments without purchasing a membership. It’s something to think about once you’ve found your way around at ClubGG.
