Let's answer the big question first, since that's exactly why you're here. Does EpicSweep Casino pay real money? No. EpicSweep is a sweepstakes casino, which means there's no purchase required to play games on the site.
This means you play games for free using virtual currencies called Gold Coins and Sweeps Coins. Eligible Sweeps Coins can be redeemed for real prizes after playthrough requirements are met. You can get free GC and SC with promos, including the welcome bonus. We dug into how EpicSweep works, and we’ll walk you through how to redeem your eligible SC.

What is EpicSweep Casino?
EpicSweep follows the standard sweepstakes model and is operated by Epic Social Play Inc. Like other sweepstakes platforms, it uses two virtual currencies: Gold Coins (GC) and Sweeps Coins (SC). This dual virtual currency system is also why you would not find any . Instead of offering a traditional bonus simply for signing up without making a GC purchase, EpicSweep structures its promos around GCs and SCs.
Gold Coins
Gold Coins exist purely for entertainment. You collect them through the welcome bonus, the daily spin wheel, EpicSweep daily login bonus, and various promotions. You use your Gold Coins to play games in standard mode, and you can extend your gameplay by making optional Gold Coin bundle purchases, but Gold Coins never convert into a prize on EpicSweep.
Sweeps Coins
Sweeps Coins work completely differently. These are promotional entries, and they're what actually connects you to a real prize. You collect Sweeps Coins through bonuses like the welcome offer, the referral program, and the mail-in request method. Your bonus Sweeps Coins can be used for EpicSweep Casino free spins, and once you meet a few eligibility requirements, you can redeem your eligible Sweeps Coins for a real prize. We'll walk through exactly how that redemption process works further down this page.
How to redeem your Sweeps Coins for real prizes
Redeeming a prize at EpicSweep comes down to a short, clear set of rules, and skipping any one of them would not get you real prizes. Here's everything you need to meet.
| Redemption detail | EpicSweep rule |
|---|---|
| Redeemable virtual currency | Only eligible Sweeps Coins can be redeemed for prizes. To check eligibility, open “My Account,” select “Wallet” to see which SC are still subject to playthrough and which are eligible for redemption. |
| Minimum eligible SC | You need at least 100 eligible SC before submitting a real prize request. |
| Playthrough requirement | All bonus SC must complete a 1x playthrough requirement. EpicSweep also says some promotions may use a 3x playthrough. |
| Identity verification | Know Your Customer (KYC) is mandatory before EpicSweep releases a prize. You must confirm your age, identity, and US residency. |
| Documents required | EpicSweep may request a driver’s license, state ID, or passport, plus proof of address when needed. |
| Account matching | Your full name, address, and redemption details must match the information on your EpicSweep account. |
| Eligibility | You must be 21+, reside in an eligible US jurisdiction, and maintain one compliant account. |
| Restricted states | EpicSweep is currently unavailable in California, Connecticut, Delaware, Idaho, Indiana, Louisiana, Maine, Michigan, Montana, New Jersey, Nevada, New York, Tennessee, and Washington. |
Play through your bonus Sweeps Coins at least once
Once you sign up on EpicSweep, you'll receive a welcome bonus of 100,000 GC and 1 SC. No EpicSweep promo code is needed to claim it; however, every Sweeps Coin that lands in your account from a bonus needs to be played through one time before it counts toward a prize request. This applies to Sweeps Coins from your welcome bonus, your referral rewards, and the daily spin wheel alike. Once you've used those specific Sweeps Coins on an eligible game a single time, they move into your virtual balance.
Meet the minimum Sweeps Coins threshold
You need at least 100 played eligible Sweeps Coins sitting in your virtual balance before EpicSweep will process a redemption request.
Verify your account
Before your first SC redemption goes through, EpicSweep requires identity verification, which means submitting a valid photo ID along with proof of US residency. This step exists to confirm you're a real, eligible user, and it's a standard requirement.
Play from an eligible state and meet the age requirement
You need to be 21 years old or older to register and redeem eligible SC for real prizes at EpicSweep, which is a stricter age requirement than a lot of sweepstakes casinos we've covered. You'll also need to reside in one of EpicSweep's eligible states. EpicSweep is unavailable in California, Connecticut, Delaware, Idaho, Indiana, Louisiana, Maine, Michigan, Montana, New Jersey, Nevada, New York, Tennessee, and Washington.
