I’ve always known Lottoland as an operator where you can buy lottery tickets for draws around the world, but recently I’ve been looking into its online casino and sportsbook in more detail.
Based on that, I’ve created a full Lottoland review below. In this guide, I check the legitimacy of the brand and make sure its casino and sportsbook are operating within regulations. After that, I’ll also check out the casino gameplay, sports betting opportunities, and get a general feel for how the site works.
First up for this Lottoland review I wanted to make sure the site was legit so I found its gambling license info and other important features.
Lottoland operates under UK gambling Commission license number 38991 and can legally offer its services in the UK. It’s owned and operated by EU Lotto Ltd which is a company based in Gibraltar - registration number 109514. It is also covered by relevant licensing authorities for the other countries it operates in.
To get help, you can check out the help centre which I thought was quite useful. It’s got plenty of support topics for common account issues you might have. If you want to speak to someone directly though, use the live chat as this is available 24/7. I tested it several times and was always put through to a human rep within minutes.
For security, the brand employs modern SSL encryption and geoblocking tools to make sure only legal residents can access the site and sign up. You’ll also have to do some verification before you can use your account. I also like that they have a heap of supporting documentation such as T&Cs, a privacy policy, game fairness info, and an accessibility statement.
For payments, I was able to use Visa, MasterCard debit, Much better, Trustly, Pay by Bank, and Apple Pay in my region. There’s a minimum deposit limit of $10, and I was never charged any payment fees. You’ll also be impressed with the withdrawal processing speeds. I think the longest I had to wait was around an hour, but most of the time my withdrawal requests were processed within 5 minutes. Please be aware that you might be able to use different payment methods based on your location.
Lottoland has an online casino that’s bursting with games and while I was browsing this section, I saw titles from the following providers:
Big Time Gaming, Elk Studios, Hacksaw Gaming, Inspired, Microgaming, NetEnt, NoLimit City, Novomatic, Pragmatic Play, Play’N GO, Playson, Red Tiger, Spinomenal, Evolution, Yggdrasil.
I’ve had loads of experience playing games from these developers before, and I’m confident they are legit. For example, Hacksaw and NoLimit City are my two favorite slot developers, while Evolution is renowned for its inventive live dealer games. In terms of gaming variety, I was able to enjoy the following genres:
There’s hundreds of popular slots, including all the Big Bass games from Pragmatic Play, and the similar Fishin’ Frenzy games from Blueprint. I most enjoyed the live game shows though, and the slots from NoLimit City. I recommend trying some of the big wheel live game shows like Crazy Time, Funky Time, and Monopoly Big Baller, or NoLimit City slots like Disturbed and the Duck Hunter series.
I also wanted to check out the betting options at Lottoland, and I started by checking out the sports it supports, which include:
Football, tennis, horse racing, greyhounds, table tennis, cricket, American football, Aussie rules, badminton, basketball, boxing, cycling, darts, esports, Futsal, golf, handball, ice hockey, Lacrosse, MMA, motorsports, rugby, snooker, waterpolo, volleyball, short football.
These are all the expected genres I want to see from a sportsbook, and I was impressed by the coverage within each of those sports. For instance, for football, you’ve got markets for the EPL, Championship, and Conference League, plus European competitions like the Champions League, Europa League, and UEFA Conference League.
In terms of overall betting variety, most events have the following main bet categories:
The bet builder and acca setup is pretty awesome and the more popular sports like football, tennis, and basketball all have a massive range of team and/or player proposition picks. For example, with some of the football matches I checked, you had betting options like the number of corners and yellow cards, first goal scorer, and anytime goal scorer.
I checked the odds against other leading sportsbooks too, and they were in-line with my expectations. If you prefer to watch the action and make bets at the same time, there’s a brilliant live betting setup for all events too.
I’ve made an alternative Lottoland promo code review where I discuss the bonuses in more detail, but I’ll explain the four welcome bonuses here, and take a look to see if this site has any other promotions. Please note though, that these are the promotions that I saw for my region - this is a global online casino and sportsbook so you might be able to see a different set of bonuses. You can take a look at the banners around this page to see what’s available where you live.
When I got started making this Lottoland casino review, I signed up and was able to pick between one of four different welcome bonuses:
I love that you’re being offered a choice here, as it means you don’t have to potentially waste a bonus on something you might not enjoy. I went for the casino bonus, and after wagering $20, I got my 100 free spins with no wagering requirements on Fishin’ Frenzy Even Bigger Fish, which is a retro slot from Blueprint Gaming. The T&Cs for each of these potential welcome bonuses are pretty easy to understand too and in most instances there’s no wagering requirements on things like the free spins or bingo bonus.
While I thought the welcome bonuses were great value, I didn’t see too many other features at Lottoland. There is a $5 free bet club for the sportsbook where you can get a free bet every week, and progressive jackpot slots for the casino, but other than that I was a little disappointed at the promotional variety.
I mainly used the Lottoland app to create this review and it’s one of the better downloadable apps that I’ve used recently. You can get it either from the Google Play Store or the App Store, and it has decent customer reviews from both. The Android version has a 4.5 star rating from 5,500+ reviews, while the iOS version has a 4.4 star rating from 3,500+ reviews. Most comments praised the simplicity and usability of the app, and the variety of casino games and sportsbook bets.
I have to agree - the app is great for beginners, and I think that if you are new to online casinos or sportsbooks, you will easily be able to understand how everything works. The touchscreen functionality works fine, you’ve got a simple main navigation to switch between the different sections, and I was also able to make payments quickly.
There is a full desktop version of the site too, and it works just as well as the mobile app. For navigating it, you can use the top horizontal menu which has options for the lotteries, sportsbook, casino, and other main categories. Above that, you can also manage your account and search for specific games. It’s technically sound too, as you get quick loading speeds, and I never saw any missing text or errors.
That’s my Lottoland review done and dusted! So, what did I think? Well, I’m definitely going to continue gaming here. I love the laidback feel of the site and app, and how easy it is to use. This is complemented by the excellent casino game collection and the sports betting variety, plus the awesome welcome bonuses that you can choose from.
I really want to see Lottoland add more promotions for existing customers though, and something like a casino VIP program. However, these things don’t detract too much from the overall entertainment value you can get here. To give it a try for yourself, I’ve got some banners featured on this page that you can click to get signed up at Lottoland today.
Yes! There are two Lottoland apps in fact. One for iOS and one for Android devices. I’ve tested both and they provide a smooth, secure, and enjoyable online casino and sportsbook experience.
Yes. This is a legitimate, licensed online casino, sportsbook, and lottery provider that operates under UK Gambling Commission license number 38991, plus relevant licenses for the other supported countries. The parent company is EU Lotto Ltd, which is registered in Gibraltar.
From my experience, I have always been able to get my winnings within 5-10 minutes, and the most I have ever had to wait is a few hours. This was using Visa debit card.
Yes. It is part of the GAMSTOP program in the UK which you can use, but it also has a range of responsible gambling tools built in, such as the ability to set deposit limits and have timeouts.
