What is OpenThatPack

OpenThatPack is a mystery box platform that lets you open trading card packs online, with physical cards behind the reveals. You choose a pack, see what you pull, and decide which cards deserve a place in your collection. Pokémon, Magic: The Gathering, One Piece, and Riftbound are all featured, so you’ve got a few familiar names to browse.

They have a flexible setup; you’re given options after the opening. You can keep cards in your vault, sell eligible cards back for Site Credits, or request physical delivery. If you’re comparing the opening-to-delivery process on different platforms, check out this Clutch Packs review.

For me, the appeal is straightforward: you experience the excitement of revealing your cards online, if they tickle your fancy, you can have your favorites shipped to your door. That’s where the collector in you gets something to look forward to beyond the screen.

How do the pack openings work?

You start by browsing the available packs and choosing one that suits your interests and budget. Once you’ve funded your account and purchased a pack, you open it online to reveal the cards inside. Then comes the fun part: deciding what stays in your collection.

If you’ve read this Crown Rips review, you’ll know the opening itself is only part of the picture. What happens afterward matters just as much, and OpenThatPack gives you a straightforward choice between keeping, selling back eligible cards, and requesting shipment.

Available packs and brands

OpenThatPack covers Pokémon, Magic: The Gathering, One Piece, and Riftbound. I like having a few different games and price points to browse, especially when I’m deciding between a smaller purchase and a premium pack that needs a little more thought.

BrandReported pack pricesExample sets
PokémonTypically $5 - $20Surging Sparks, Black Bolt
RiftboundFrom $6Origins, Spiritforged, Unleashed
One PieceFrom $7The Azure Seas Seven, The Time of Battle
Magic: The GatheringTypically $22 - $45 for premium packsCommander Masters, Duskmourn

Pokémon gives you a fairly broad price range to explore. If you already collect particular characters or expansions, I’d start there rather than pick whichever pack has the flashiest artwork. Although I do have to admit, a rare Pokémon on the cover can make that advice harder to follow. Riftbound and One Piece have lower starting prices than the premium MTG options listed here.

The set matters just as much as the brand. Different releases contain different cards, so check the current listing, price, and available card pool before choosing. I’d rather open something that fits my collection than spend more purely because a pack sounds exclusive. Prices and stock can change, so treat these figures as a starting point rather than a fixed menu.

How can I create an account at OpenThatPack?

Getting started takes just a few steps, and you can choose the registration method that suits you.

  1. Use the links here to visit openthatpack.com and click Login/Sign Up.

  2. Register using Google, Apple, MetaMask, or your email.

  3. Click the + next to your P Coin balance.

  4. Choose debit card, credit card, or crypto and follow the prompts to fund your account.

  5. Browse the Shop for Pokémon, MTG, Riftbound, or One Piece packs.

  6. Choose a pack and open it online to reveal your cards.

  7. Keep your cards, sell eligible ones back for Site Credits, or request physical shipment.

I’d check for an available Daily Free Pack before buying a pack.

What rewards and bonuses are available?

I haven’t confirmed a standard OpenThatPack welcome bonus, so I wouldn’t sign up expecting extra credits straight away. There are other rewards to check out, though, including a Daily Free Pack program and loyalty benefits.

My OpenThatPack promo code review takes a closer look at the available promotions and how to claim them. Here, I’m more interested in what these extras bring to the collecting experience. I’m always happy to pick up a freebie, but the pack selection still needs to appeal to me.

Loyalty rewards and free packs

OpenThatPack’s terms outline loyalty benefits that may include Site Credits, rebates, and discounts for qualifying purchases or participation. They also mention loyalty levels and collection milestones, although the current requirements and reward amounts need checking in your account.

The Daily Free Pack program gives eligible users another potential perk. These packs generally contain standard base-set cards, with premium inserts, autographs, and chase cards typically excluded. I’d see one as a small addition to my collection rather than get my hopes up for a rare pull.

Availability depends on eligibility, inventory, and promotional periods, so a free pack isn’t guaranteed every day. Check what’s available in your account and what you need to do to qualify before spending.

How do their payments work?

OpenThatPack accepts debit and credit cards alongside cryptocurrency payments, giving you a choice of how to fund your account.

To fund your account, click the + beside your P Coin balance, choose your payment method, and follow the checkout instructions. Prices on the platform are displayed in US dollars. I’d check the final amount before confirming, especially if your bank account uses another currency or you’re paying network fees on a crypto transfer.

Shipping and sell-back

A great pull is even better when you can add it to your actual collection. OpenThatPack lets you select cards from your vault for physical delivery, while eligible cards you don’t want can go toward another opening through sell-back.

Shipping your cards

OpenThatPack advertises free shipping on orders over $100, using UPS Express with tracking and a signature required at delivery. Its shipping page also says international duties, VAT, and import fees are covered. I like that benefit, particularly when ordering across borders.

Delivery is estimated at one to three business days after dispatch. Allow time for the order to be prepared, and check the shipping charge before confirming if you’re below the free-shipping threshold.

Selling cards back

Not every reveal will give you something you want to keep. If a card qualifies, you can exchange it for Site Credits rather than request delivery. I’d check the offered value before accepting. Those credits can go toward another pack, but always remember, they stay on the platform and can’t be withdrawn as cash. It’s a handy option for unwanted pulls, while your favorites can stay in the vault until you’re ready to ship them.

Is OpenThatPack legit?

OpenThatPack identifies its operator as RW. SOFTWARE LLC, a Texas company, and publishes terms, support details, and information about card quality and shipping. Those are useful starting points when assessing a platform that will hold your cards before delivery.

The site describes its openings as provably fair and says it uses the same pull odds as sealed packs. I like seeing fairness information available, but I haven’t independently audited the system. A verifiable opening also doesn’t guarantee a valuable card or tell you how smoothly a delivery will go.

If you’ve read my Hypedrop review, you’ll know there’s more to assess than the excitement of the reveal. Here, I’d look at the pack odds, available card pool, and fulfillment costs before purchasing.

OpenThatPack also promises Near Mint or better cards. That’s encouraging for collectors, although Near Mint can still include minor imperfections. For me, the published information gives you a useful basis for checking the service, rather than a reason to assume every purchase is risk-free.

Mobile use and support

OpenThatPack works through your mobile browser, so you can browse packs and manage your cards without downloading anything. I haven’t found a dedicated iOS or Android app, but I like the convenience of opening the site directly on my phone.

If you run into trouble, live chat is available daily from 10 am to 10 pm Eastern Time. You can also email support@openthatpack.com. I’d check the FAQs first for straightforward questions, then contact the team if I need help with a payment, reward, or shipment.

Having chat and email gives you a couple of ways to get assistance. I haven’t tested response times, though, so I can’t tell you how quickly the team will sort out a problem.

Is OpenThatPack really worth the hype?

For me, OpenThatPack has plenty of appeal if you enjoy collecting trading cards. Pokémon, Magic: The Gathering, One Piece, and Riftbound give you a good starting lineup, while online openings bring the anticipation straight to your screen.

What I like most is having choices after the reveal. Keep your favorites, exchange eligible cards for Site Credits, or request physical delivery. Add the advertised free shipping on orders over $100, and there’s more here than a flashy opening animation.

I’d recommend taking a look by clicking on the banners here, if that mix of online convenience and physical collecting suits you. Browse the available packs, find a set that catches your eye, and decide what deserves a place in your collection.
