Platform appearance and functionality

Just as I did when carrying out my GOATbox review, I spent a fair few hours browsing the Unbox.gg site to assess its usability and design choices. I found the dark black-purple theme really eye-catching and immersive. The site looks modern and bright but not at all over-stimulating. In terms of navigation, you’ll need to spend some time clicking around to get the hang of it. There are icons at the top of the page that direct you to different sections (case battles, case openings, etc), but no text to explain what these are, so expect to be clicking around for a while until you remember what each icon means.

Overall, though, I’d say the interface is pretty simple and user-friendly. There is a large panel on the right that enables you to join the chat and live drops. You can find all the classic links you need, such as to social media channels and terms and conditions, in the site footer. I didn’t experience any lagging or errors in my time spent on the site, either. So, it gets a thumbs up from me!

An app would have been handy, but unfortunately, Unbox.gg does not yet offer one to either Android or Apple users. Saying that, the site is very mobile-friendly. I logged in on my phone’s browser and found that the site adjusted well to the smaller screen.
