Liverpool v Fulham Premier League betting preview and tips
Fulham are in a sorry state at the moment. Despite spending nearly £100 million on players last summer, they sit bottom of the Premier League and currently look out of their depth since getting promoted through the play-offs.
Jean Michael Seri and André-Frank Zambo Anguissa don’t look convincing and Alfie Mawson has barely been seen since completing a £20 million move from Swansea City, with Aleksandar Mitrovic operating as a lone striker and looking isolated in attack.
This will be particularly the case at Anfield on Sunday, with the Serbian unlikely to get much service considering that the visitors will spend most of the weekend’s match camped in their own half and trying to put out various fires being created by the home side.
Jurgen Klopp opted against taking Xherdan Shaqiri to Belgrade for political reasons and the Swiss international could be out on the pitch from the start, while Mohamed Salah, Sadio Mane and Roberto Firmino will all line up before heading away for the international break.
Liverpool are ridiculously short to win this game of football although we can be reasonably confident that they will not only secure a victory but claim a win without conceding to their opponents.
It’s clear that Klopp gets massively irritated by his team conceding and anyone who saw Fulham’s performance against Huddersfield will realise that they are low on confidence and highly susceptible to the high press.
This is a game which Liverpool should win at a canter, with Virgil van Dijk making sure any bits and pieces are mopped up and perhaps we will see the first team to ever record ten goals in a Premier League match.
