Hats off to Ajax who have been a real delight in the Champions League this season. The Dutch champions came through their qualifying group behind Bayern Munich before stunning Real Madrid at the last sixteen stage.

The fact that the Amsterdam team lost at home to their Spanish opponents before wiping the floor with them at the Bernabeu was seriously impressive and they will therefore go to the Juventus Stadium in a confident mood.

Ajax were more than a match for Juve on Wednesday night, with Cristiano Ronaldo giving the Italian champion the lead late in the first half before the home team were able to equalise moments after the break.

While the scoreline suggests its currently honours even, the fact that the Old Lady have an away goal gives them an advantage and they will now look to get the job completed on home soil.

Max Allegri’s team have already used up one of their lives by overcoming a 2-0 deficit against Atletico Madrid to win the return leg 3-0 and they are likely to adopt a similar mentality in this clash.

After all, it would be a dangerous ploy to set up defensively in a bid to stop Ajax who themselves will be targeting a 1-0 win, although the way in which they scored freely away to Real suggests they are dangerous.

Even so, how often does one get the chance to back Juventus at home at odds of 1.72? They have won fourteen of their sixteen home matches in Serie A this season and are twenty points clear of nearest contender Napoli.

Ronaldo has the Midas touch in this competition and could be difficult for the Ajax defence to handle after his hat-trick against Atleti in the previous round, with Juve having won their past five home matches.
