Tip: Liverpool win to nil
Units: 1/5
Odds: -175

It’s easy to dismiss Red Star Belgrade as a team who are simply making up the numbers in a ridiculously tough Champions League group, although it should be noted that the Serbian side did land a goalless draw against Napoli in their opening match.

Indeed, the only time this team have tasted defeat was that 6-1 spanking at the hands of Paris Saint-Germain where the floodgates opened and there is no better team in Europe than PSG when it comes to running in the goals with the game already won.

The visitors are likely to find life difficult at Anfield based on that evidence and Liverpool will certainly look upon this game as one where they can get the game won with a minimum of fuss and potentially without some of their star names, with Mohamed Salah among those who might earn a rest.

The one positive for Liverpool is that they are defensively stubborn and it’s difficult to see Red Star causing many problems in attack after scoring just one goal during the group stage thus far.

Dejan Lovren could get the chance to partner either Virgil van Dijk, Joe Gomez or even Joel Matip in the heart of defence, while we might also see Xherdan Shaqiri, Fabinho and Daniel Sturridge make a rare start.

Liverpool can ill-afford any slip-ups from what looks to be their easiest group game and especially after losing their previous game in Naples which means that qualification for the last sixteen could go right down to the wire.
