Champions League preview – Tuesday 18 October

Bayer Leverkusen v Tottenham
CSKA v Monaco

Group E is up for grabs. Bayer Leverkusen trail Monaco and Tottenham, so a victory on Tuesday night is essential and the German side are 2.20 (bet365 ) to beat English opponents missing Toby Alderweireld and Harry Kane. However, Spurs won at CSKA in their last game and they are 3.55 (Unibet ) to make a big step towards the knockout stage.

Monaco are 2.80 (William Hill ) to put CSKA out of commission and they did win away to Tottenham, although the Moscow side are slight favourites at 2.75 (bet365 ) to win the game.

Real Madrid v Legia Warsaw
Sporting v Borussia Dortmund

Most Champions League coupons will feature Real Madrid who are no bigger than 1.04 to beat their Polish opponents. Perhaps Cristiano Ronaldo will plunder a hat-trick and he’s 6.00 (Paddy Power ) to score three goals in this game.

Sporting v Dortmund should be a closer contest and the German side are 2.15 with bet365 to get the job done and keep pace with Real at the top of the section. However, Sporting were close to winning at the Bernabeu and William Hill have 3.50 about the home win.

Club Brugge v FC Porto
Leicester v FC Copenhagen 19:45

Leicester are taking advantage of an easy Champions League group and the Foxes are 1.91 with William Hill to beat a Copenhagen side who did claim a 1-1 draw at Porto before mauling Brugge.

FCK are 4.50 (bet365 ) for the win and it’s not a ridiculous price considering they are a decent team who will look to exploit a weak Leicester defence.

Porto look worth backing at 1.85 (Unibet ) to win in Belgium against a Brugge side who have so far conceded seven goals and not scored. Unibet are now prepared to offer 4.60 about the home team.

Dinamo Zagreb v Sevilla
Lyon v Juventus

Sevilla enjoyed a goalless draw at Juventus before beating Lyon 1-0, with Unibet offering 1.52 that they land three points in Croatia. Dinamo are pointless after two games and are likely to be whipping boys, with the Spanish side a good bet at 2.50 (bet365 ) to win without conceding.

Juventus also have four points and punters can get 1.70 (William Hill ) that they win away to Lyon, although the French side are capable of keeping things tight and perhaps a better bet is the draw at 3.80 (bet365 ).
