Premier League Game Week 9 betting preview
The Premier League returns after the international break and we’re excited about the fare on offer, with Liverpool, Manchester City and Chelsea currently level on twenty points.
Despite this parity, it’s Manchester City who are 1.66 favourites with bet365 to win the division, while Liverpool are 3.25 after managing to hold the former to a goalless draw at Anfield in their previous game.
Chelsea have been impressive thus far and it’s a surprise that they are priced much bigger at odds of 10.00 although perhaps this is down to their reliance on Eden Hazard and the fact that they have had an easier run of games so far.
The London side clash with Manchester United in the first game back and they’re the strong favourites to continue their excellent unbeaten run, with bet365 going 1.66 about a win for Maurizio Sarri’s team.
They are sure to be popular against a Red Devils side who have already lost away to Brighton and West Ham this term, with the visitors priced at 5.00 to win the game and Jose Mourinho’s job appears to be dangling by a few threads at the moment.
Bournemouth are in a good moment right now and will hope that the international break didn’t disrupt things too much, with the Cherries available at 2.15 with William Hill to get over the line against a Southampton side who are struggling for points.
The Saints have been chalked up at 3.75 although they have a dangerous operator in the form of Danny Ings who can make a big impact and perhaps they are more capable than the odds suggest.
Cardiff have a wonderful opportunity to get their first maximum of the season when they clash with a Fulham side who can’t stop leaking goals at the moment and we might expect the Bluebirds to grind out a win at odds of 2.37. That said, the Cottagers might have the class to outscore their opponents and they are 3.00 to record a first away win of the season.
Manchester City are astonishingly short at 1.07 to beat Burnley, with Newcastle priced at 2.20 to get one over a Brighton side who closed the game out well against West Ham and might be a touch large to do the same at St James’ Park.
West Ham have been strong at home this term and they are 4.33 to beat Spurs which looks pretty chunky considering that the visitors are involved in more Champions League football the following week. Nevertheless, they are 1.80 for the win.
Wolves are now being respected by the layers and they are 1.85 with bet365 to beat a Watford side who have hit the buffers, with the Hornets priced at 4.20 to win at Molineux.
Huddersfield have a tall task against Liverpool and they are priced accordingly at 5.75 to get the victory against a Reds side who are likely to be an acca pick for many at 1.22.
Everton are making strides under Marco Silva and they’re 1.90 to beat Crystal Palace who appear to be ailing badly, with odds of 4.00 available that they pull a rabbit out of the hat in this one.
Finally, Arsenal clash with Leicester and this is a Gunners side so full of goals at the moment. Odds of 1.44 exist about them continuing their winning run.
