Premier League weekend preview 14-15 January
We’ve got another massive round of Premier League fixtures this weekend as England prepares itself for “Merseyside v Manchester” on Sunday.
Manchester United v Liverpool is one of the biggest top flight games of the season and the stakes are suitably high for this encounter, with the Red Devils able to move to within two points of their arch-rivals if they win this game.
Jose Mourinho’s side are 2.10 (11/10) with Ladbrokes to secure the victory, although Liverpool can go eight clear with a win of their own and Jurgen Klopp’s side are capable of obliging at odds of 3.60 (13/5) bet365 as they look to stay in the title hunt.
Earlier on Sunday, we have the equally exciting prospect of Everton v Manchester City, with the Toffees bolstered by the news that Morgan Schneiderlin has signed at Goodison Park.
Everton are 4.20 (16/5) with BetVictor to enjoy three points against an unpredictable Manchester City team who will look to mount a serious title challenge in 2017 and they are likely to be popular at 1.83 (5/6) BetVictor for the win.
We have eight top flight matches on Saturday and that includes the Saturday lunchtime encounter between Tottenham and West Brom, with Spurs looking to win their seventh match on the run.
Mauricio Pochettino’s side are a best price 1.33 (1/3) with William Hill to beat a West Brom side who are often stubborn opposition and Tony Pulis will have a game plan to try and nullify the likes of Dele Alli, Christian Eriksen and Harry Kane.
The Baggies are 5.50 (9/2) Ladbrokes to draw the game and 11.00 (10/1) with the same firm to manage a surprise win. It must be said that the visitors have been strong this season but this is a big ask for them.
On Saturday evening, Leicester City continue the month of January without Riyad Mahrez and Islam Slimani although the Foxes are a meaty 6.00 (5/1) bet365 to get three points against a Chelsea side who were beaten in their last top flight match.
The Blues suffered a 2-0 defeat at White Hart Lane and Antonio Conte will want a reaction, with the visitors chalked up at 1.62 (8/13) BetVictor to land the three points which would resurrect their title challenge.
There are six other Premier League matches and that includes the clash at the Liberty Stadium where Arsenal are no bigger than 1.50 (1/2) Ladbrokes to claim a maximum haul against a Swansea City team who have their third manager of the season.
The Swans are 7.00 (6/1) with William Hill to pull off a surprise win and they might be highly motivated under Paul Clement, although a draw would represent a good outcome at odds of 4.33 (10/3) with bet365.
Burnley look a big price at 3.50 (5/2) with BetVictor to beat Southampton, while Sam Allardyce returns to West Ham and his Crystal Palace side are 3.60 (13/5) BetVictor to win at the London Stadium. Hull are another team who need the points and they are 3.30 (23/10) chance with BetVictor to beat Bournemouth.
