Crystal Palace have a solid 22 points from their first 16 Premier League games played. This total puts the Eagles in the top half of the table and they’re also a fairly comfortable 7 points clear of the relegation zone.

Team news | League Table | Odds

It had initially appeared that Palace could be in for a season of struggle considering their summer recruitment was fairly light, although the South London team are in a rich vein of form after a difficult November.

Palace have enjoyed consecutive wins over Burnley and Bournemouth, while they also took a point at Vicarage Road last weekend. It’s worth noting that the Eagles kept a clean sheet in all of these matches, with Gary Cahill and James Tomkins running a tight ship in defence.

There have been just thirteen goals scored in eight games at Selhurst Park this season and that’s despite Liverpool and Manchester City visiting this ground, with seven of the eight matches having featured two goals or less.

This clash is something of a derby game despite the geographical distance between the two clubs, with Brighton three points worse off than their opponents and they’ll be looking to improve away form considering five games have been lost.

The Seagulls did recently win at the Emirates and play a fairly attacking brand of football under Graham Potter, although they will be aware of their opponents’ defensively stingy ways and look to potentially meet fire with fire.

There will be special focus on trying to tame Wilfried Zaha who is a lively danger for the home side, with Neal Maupay bidding to score for the third game running although he might not find many chances coming his way.

We could potentially see this game ending in a goalless draw considering a point apiece wouldn’t be a bad outcome, although we’ll stick with Under 2.5 Goals for this one.
