Everton v Chelsea Betting Tips
We’re surprised that Chelsea are trading at odds-on to win at Goodison Park considering that they have stumbled on the road quite a bit this season.
The Blues have failed to win six of their fourteen away matches and they actually have a level goal difference on the road thanks to maulings at the hands of Bournemouth and Manchester City.
Maurizio Sarri’s team are firmly in contention for a top four spot, although they weren’t convincing when winning recently at Fulham and they will get a much stiffer test against an Everton side who are seemingly enjoying a resurgence under Marco Silva.
There have been occasions where Silva future has been the subject of speculation, although the Portuguese has mixed up his team and actually left Andre Gomes and Richarlison on the bench for the recent Merseyside derby which saw the Toffees acquit themselves well.
Previously to the draw with Liverpool, there was a straightforward 3-0 victory at Cardiff and Silva will look to finish the season strongly, with Everton regularly raising their game against top opponents.
Michael Keane has finally found some form in a blue shirt and will continue to stake his claim for a spot in the England team, while Kurt Zouma also had a fantastic game against Liverpool.
A draw would not be a bad outcome for a Chelsea team who have recently dropped out of the Champions League qualifying spots, although they do have a game in hand over many of their rivals.
Sarri’s team still rely heavily on Eden Hazard whose motivation levels might be waning as we get closer to the end of the season, while Gonzalo Higuain has been recruited after the manager passed over the chance to operate with Alvaro Morata and Olivier Giroud.
Chelsea do have a weak underbelly as they have demonstrated in some away matches this season and Everton look good for a point.
