Everton v West Ham Betting Tips
Everton have made an unbeaten start to the season although there were murmurings of discontent after their recent 1-1 draw against Huddersfield which saw the Toffees labour for the most part of an encounter against a side expected to struggle this season.
Marco Silva replaced Sam Allardyce much to the delight of the majority of supporters who remembered the attractive style of football cultivated by the Portuguese last season when he took charge of Watford for a few short months.
However, it’s been a mixed bag of results so far, with a draw at Wolves and a win over Southampton being followed by a draw at Bournemouth and another draw against the Terriers.
There have been two first-half red cards so far which have affected matters, with Phil Jagielka and Richarlison both dismissed and leaving their team to play out 2-2 away draws and it’s clear that the team have defensive issues.
Jordan Pickford is yet to keep a clean sheet and the balance of the team hasn’t quite been right, with Everton playing some attractive football in patches but struggling to break down stubborn defences.
Richarlison is still suspended for this clash and Theo Walcott is struggling to be fit, with Ademola Lookman potentially coming into the team after an exciting cameo performance against Huddersfield.
West Ham are pointless although they are no forlorn hope in this clash and it’s worth noting that they could have scored more than the one goal at Arsenal a few weeks ago.
Felipe Anderson and Marko Arnautovic have looked a threat in all their matches and it could be worth punting the visitors to come back after the international break with renewed energy.
