Matches between Liverpool and Tottenham are rarely dull, with both teams renowned for adopting an attacking approach and we’re expecting no different when their fixture at Anfield takes place on Sunday 31 March.

Team news | League Table | Odds

Last season, we saw a hugely entertaining 2-2 draw in this fixture, while Liverpool managed to win this season’s reverse fixture by a 2-1 scoreline which saw the Reds dominate for large parts of the match to triumph.

Liverpool have managed to stay the pace as far as a concerted Premier League title challenge is concerned, with Jurgen Klopp’s side having reined in their most extreme attacking instincts to get more points on the board and stay the pace with Manchester City.

The plain fact is that the Reds have been largely bombproof at Anfield, with thirteen wins enjoyed in fifteen matches and there’s every reason to think they can continue the winning habit in this clash.

Trent Alexander-Arnold is back in the right-back position and provides great defensive cover and also a brilliant attacking outlet, while Liverpool have racked up 44 goals and are averaging nearly three goals per home game.

The Reds have put five past Watford and four past Burnley, although there are more defensive cracks appearing than was the case earlier in the season, with the prospect of winning a first league title since 1990 starting to create a nervous situation.

As for Tottenham, they appeared to have an outside chance of title glory a few weeks ago, although they have now been sucked into a battle for a top four spot instead.

Despite Harry Kane returning from injury, Spurs have managed to land just a point from their past four matches, with defeats occurring at Chelsea, Burnley and Southampton.

It’s fair to say that the wheels have momentarily come off for Tottenham who remain part of the Champions League scene in the last eight stage, with Spurs looking to attack Liverpool at Anfield although any goals they score might fall into the consolation bracket.
