Tottenham v PSV Betting Tips
Mauricio Pochettino has effectively given up the Champions League ghost after a 2-2 draw in Eindhoven, with the Tottenham manager cutting a crestfallen figure after Luuk de Jong scored in the 87th minute to ensure it was honours even.
Pochettino could bemoan Hugo Lloris’ red card in this clash, although it was another mistake from the Frenchman who will now be suspended for this Wembley encounter and the London side look plenty short enough for the win.
We’re not sure whether Spurs are particularly bothered about entering the Europa League as one of the third-placed teams in the Champions League groups and we should also mention that PSV are a decent side who could create several chances of their own.
It wasn’t a huge surprise that the Dutch league leaders were able to get a point against Tottenham considering that they have the winning habit domestically and their front two of De Jong and Hirving Lozano is an exciting prospect which could make hay.
Tottenham are the more likely winners although we have seen Spurs effectively nullified in several matches this term and they were only able to beat Cardiff by a single goal, with Harry Kane the focal point of the attack who is often snuffed out.
It will just be a quiet atmosphere for this clash which is in stark contrast to last season where Spurs were winning clashes against Real Madrid and Borussia Dortmund, although it might be tricky for the home side to get going in this clash.
The draw price makes plenty of appeal at 4.75, with this way bigger than the odds about a home win and it could be a group stage where Tottenham fail to record a single victory and are left to focus on domestic matters.
