So far, so good for Barcelona this season who have made relatively short work of their first four opponents in domestic competition.

Ernesto Valverde’s team won La Liga by an impressive fourteen points last term and the Catalan side have opened with four straight wins which has seen Barca plunder fourteen goals thus far.

It’s little surprise to see Lionel Messi at the top of the scoring charts, with the world’s best player plundering four goals thus far and you can’t imagine that a Champions League date on Tuesday with PSV will have proved to be particularly exerting.

Barca’s two wins at the Nou Camp have been very comprehensive. Strangely, it was goalless against Alaves until the final half hour when the home side put three goals into the net.

The second home match was an 8-2 win over Huesca, with Luis Suarez featuring heavily and this could be the season where Ousmane Dembele truly announces himself in a Barcelona shirt.

Dembele’s opportunities for France during the World Cup were limited after Didier Deschamps decided to operate with Olivier Giroud as a front man, although he has four goals to his name already and is hungry for more.

Girona are short of goals this season although a Cristhian Stuani effort was enough to seal a maximum haul against Villarreal at El Madrigal and they will hope for the same defensive solidity.

Last season, they finished tenth so they are not slouches in this competition but trying to contend with a lethal attack could be difficult and we’re happy to get with Barcelona on the Asian Handicap.
