Liverpool have started the season in a brilliant fashion, with the Reds storming clear at the top of the Premier League and they will now look to secure a last sixteen berth in the Champions League as quickly as possible.

Jurgen Klopp’s side lost in Naples in their group opener although high-scoring wins over Red Bull Salzburg and Genk has put the Merseyside team in pole position to go through with consummate ease.

Liverpool enjoyed a 4-1 victory at the Luminus Arena against a Genk side who are looking out of their depth at Champions League level considering they were walloped 6-2 by Salzburg.

We can therefore expect the home side to enjoy another big margin of victory and it would seem logical to back the champions of Europe on the Asian Handicap market rather than punt them at such a short price to win.

Liverpool enjoy filling their boots and will be in no mood to take their foot off the accelerator, with the Anfield night in the Champions League providing a special atmosphere and it’s hard to see how Genk are going to stop the flow of goals.

The only slight negative with this bet is that Klopp might look to keep some of his star players fresh for the weekend clash against Manchester City, with Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane among the players who could be given a breather.

Even so, we should work on the basis that Genk are unlikely to offer much of a threat moving forward and a Liverpool 3-0 or a 4-1 victory will be enough to win with this bet.

It was 4-1 in the reverse fixture, with Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Adam Lallana pressing for inclusion in this game, with the former having scored twice against the same opponents already.
