Middlesbrough have really turned a corner in the past couple of months and there’s a much brighter outlook at the Riverside Stadium following the team’s five-game unbeaten run in the Championship.

Team news | League Table | Odds

Jonathan Woodgate’s side looked like relegation material after a 3-1 defeat at Swansea on 14 December, although Boro then embarked on four victories before an FA Cup draw against Tottenham and Saturday’s 2-2 draw against Derby.

While this clash at Craven Cottage comes three days after an FA Cup replay at White Hart Lane, there are reasons for siding with the visitors on the Asian Handicap, with Woodgate wanting the unbeaten run to continue for as long as possible.

Fulham have not been particularly clinical at home this season and look destined to finish somewhere between third and sixth which would mean a place in the play-offs.

They have won eight matches but failed to win the other six played at the Cottage, with Reading leaving with a maximum haul on New Year’s Day, while their recent win at Hull City was achieved with just one shot on target.

Aleksandr Mitrovic has now gone three games without finding the net and a sturdy Boro defence looks capable of shutting out the Serbian once again, with the visitors themselves having been on the scoresheet in the previous nine matches.

Lewis Wing has been in excellent form for the Teeside club and Middlesbrough had enough chances to beat Derby last weekend before the Rams scored a late equaliser. Let’s go with the visitors on the Asian Handicap here.
