Arsenal v Everton Betting Tips
We’re not sure either of these teams are playing particularly well this season. Arsenal are up to seventh in the Premier League table after three straight wins although none of them have been convincing.
A 3-1 victory over West Ham really could have gone either way, while a 3-2 win at Cardiff saw the Gunners land a late blow to seal the points after finding life tough against a physical Bluebirds team.
A drab first half at St James’ Park saw Newcastle marginally on top before Unai Emery’s side won and the fact that Arsenal are without a clean sheet all season means that piling into the home side for this clash doesn’t make huge amounts of appeal.
Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has just one goal to his name this season despite scoring at a rate of knots when arriving from Borussia Dortmund and the defence is looking slightly iffy, with Petr Cech not necessarily the answer anymore.
Everton have been a strange side this season in that their performances have probably regressed since drawing 2-2 at Wolves on the opening day.
Richarlison has spent the past three games serving a three-match ban and the return of the Brazilian should give the Toffees some attacking clout, with the striker having scored twice for his country during the international break.
There are clearly defensive issues although that’s to be expected under Marco Silva who is trying to implement a new way to play and there was a bright performance from Bernard against West Ham despite the game being lost 3-1.
Having drawn at Wolves and Bournemouth, we certainly feel that Everton can land a point and there might be a reaction to that poor performance against the Hammers.
